Was
looking for a decent quality battery powered jump start and after
reading 20 different threads on reddit the end result was always the
same. The Noco GB40. Currently up for £97.95 on UK amazon i tried a few
of amazons other country codes to see if i could get lucky. Low and
behold they're got it in the amazon france store for 49Euros, after
conversion and delivery you're looking at around £50, you'll be able to
use a revolut card or similar for even more savings but I was
comfortable with that tbh. Absolute bargain for the quality and piece of
mind you're getting

CADEAUX10 code works for 10 eur off if you can add something on for 1 eur to take the total over 50. Hot!

These pencils (Crayons in French!) are just over 1 eur.

Very decent price, I have two of the 2000v versions for starting 2.8ltr vans & have them on a USB charger to ensure they're always ready.
Needed to use them a couple of times, always nice not to have to wait for the AA.
I have been trying to get this for a while but couldn't get it under £85. Well done on finding it for around £50 delivered.

it says in the specs the 1000 can start a 3ltr diesel, is that not to be relied on?

That would be ctek…. nothing can touch them, don't be sucked into the Noco Ultrasafe nonsense.
500A should be sufficient for most.

Same here, had it in my basket, was ready to hit pay for it but got carried away with work and too late now!
Never found a use for these things myself. Can't help but think that most people would be better off just buying a new battery.

I thought they only did battery chargers , could not find any jump starters made by Ctek

99% of people would be better of with a set of jumper cables (and hopefully some friends?) or an AA/RAC membership. Unless you're a muppet and don't change your kaput battery, then why would you need one of these? Enthusiasts maybe, but not your average joe.

Stuck outside your house. You don't have breakdown cover that covers you at home. Stuck at a service station after stopping to grab some food and car wont start. Plenty of reasons to carry jump leads with you but then you need to ask someone for assistance.

Jump starters are a great idea (although used to be very bulky) and saves time IF you need them. I have one of these purposefully bought as a just in case. Glad i have it, as it takes up next to no space at all in the car. They are that small they will fit in a glovebox.

or, car battery dead, car is on drive face forward on a slope, no chance of pushing car out on road or getting another car close ebough for jump leads

out comes the GB40

I've got a very heavy duty set of jump leads, a new battery and a battery jump starter (not this one)...

The jump starter got me out of trouble on a freezing cold wet day with no one else around...guess I'm a 'muppet'
