Hehe yeah I posted it a few months back. A nice phone, just I only found out afterwards that it didn't work with blyk due to no WAP on it! Still, very nice for the price! Heat and rep added

Thanks for the post. Voted hot.

it will be unlocked

Can anyone confirm if it can receive MMS Picture Messages. It states it doesn't support MMS but not sure if that just means it can't send. I want a basic phone for my Mum. No WAP etc needed but would be great if she could receive Picture Messages.

thats how much you pay

Nokia 1650 on Virgin PAYG £9.95 + £10 Credit = £19.95 - £5quidco = £14.95

£14.95 - £10 credit = £4.95 for the phone

So it's not £4.95 for the phone then is it?

If I had £4.95 in my bank account and wanted to buy this i couldn't.

Yep, the phone is £9.95 only if you purchase a £10 top card along with it. Total £19.95. The Quidco must be a £5 cashback to your quidco account, effectively bringing the price of the phone and topup to £14.95, but you would still have to shell out £19.95 to get it in real terms.

Its still a good price for a mobile and a tenners credit to use as a backup or a main phone that you dont care about taking a knock or two. Everyone could use one of these!

no, you need to follow the actions so the effective cost for the phone is £4.95. Personally, i pass the credit onto my brother as he is on virgin. depends how you look at it.

Credit can be bought on ebay for £6-£7 per £10 so it's more like £8 - £9 for the phone which is still a fair price

What are CPW like for cashback tracking?

Got a Nokia 1650 for my son a few months ago. Good little phone. Just ordered one now as a spare. Went thru as above at £19.95. I'll use the ten pound credit voucher for my existing Virgin PAYG phone, so after deducting £5 Quidco, i've now got a family spare for a fiver. Jobs a good 'un. Thanks. Heat added.

You could also get the Nokia 2610 for the same price from Phones4U. It's 14.95 on Virgin with £10 credit added BUT you get £10 Quidco back!

is everyone sure its unlocked? even this virgin one?

you will note if you try to buy from any of the other networks it says out of stock too, so this is another indication of the phone being unlocked as I assume they send out the same phone with different sims depending on which network you choose

Yes it's unlocked , got my one this morning , working on o2 fine

prob is the £10 Virgin credit voucher has only 12 digits instead of 16 ?

Virgin wont take it ,needs to be the 16 digits

so will have to give CPW a bell to see what the score is :-(

i thought the credit would be preloaded on the sim

Shows how often i buy a phone :-)

It came with £1.00 preloaded and the £10.00 went on this morning automatically :-)

CPW called me this morning after I emailed them yesterday , said the £10 should automatically be loaded after 72hrs of switching on the phone .

Still a good deal though :-)

Thanks to the OP. This is actually quite a nice basic phone. The screen is much better than the SE J100.

is this now expired?

Is anyone still waiting to get their phone? I rang them last week and they said the order was being processed - and I'm still waiting...:x
