giffgaff are **** im surprised they are still around they havent kept up with the evolving market.
Any way to buy without the £10 sim?
Just bought an 'as new' phone from giffgaff. Very impressed with the condition, it was basically new and even still had the stickers on. I don't think it had ever been used as it was still on the software version on release and there had been multiple updates since then.
Oos
OP,thanks.got one.
Not usually a fan of phone with only 2GB ram, but at this price it's a steal.
Out of stock now. Expired.

You don't have to buy it with a sim. You just buy the phone and then if you want to put a giffgaff sim in it, it costs £10 to activate your new Giffgaff payg sim thats all. (You get £5 free aswell as soon as you activate the sim)

What is it that makes them #$*% ???
Ive been with them since 2011 and never had a single issue, ive found them to be great. Ive also got 17 other people to join in that time with the recruiter program for which you receive £££ rewards and all 17 have stayed with them, preferring them over their old provider

Let’s be honest their whole MO was cheaper because we don’t have contact centres. Now it’s not the cheapest and they still have contact centres.
I was all for giffgaff before and I’ve had a ton of payouts from them but let’s face facts they are cashing in big time not having contact centres and having members of the community answer for them.
The network isn’t bad but the facts are facts.

There deals arent cheap they dont match what the bigger providers offer or even some mvnos and they dont offer trully unlimited data. People stay because they cant be bothered to keep jumping providers.
I don't know if anyone who knows their phones will read this, just in case...

I've a Nokia 630 had it 5 years and WhatsApp loses its support on my phone come
December 31st, I get work from it as a musician so will this phone be okay?
Will it accept a Tesco mobile?

I don't use my phone for internet so just need it for calls, texts, buses due app and what's app

I hear what your saying, but again, ive been with them since 2011 and NEVER had an issue so im not really bothered about contact centers, to be fair, the times i have been to the community to ask some general questions, they've been answered within 5 minutes by 3 or 4 really knowledgeable people all without having to spend an hour listening to classical music whilst on hold to speak to someone who cant speak English properly and has zero technical knowledge. So your bad points are my good ones

For £20 a month, Unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 40GB of data is plenty for me, the only deals i can find that match or beat that with big companies are not true PAYG, they are sim only contracts
4 in stock right now
Got one for £30 last time, still a decent little phone for the money. It does WiFi calling on ee incase anyone needs that
