Don't you have to buy a £10 top up though? Plus it'll be locked to Vodafone. Not as good a deal as this unless you plan on using the top up and using the phone on Vodafone.

Is there a plan to switch off 2G and 3G networks? I am sure I read that it is going to happen by 2020 but I could be wrong.

my dad wants one hes 76 he likes old dinosaur bones, bought him a basic touch screen one a while ago cos he needed quad band when he goes on all his hols has a few each year and he only takes that phone when on hol otherwise back to his old dinosaur bone, its just what hes happy with.
btw this phone isn't in stock till 30 july on amazon, he said hell wait
