thanks for finding the cheapest price. why cold?

Good deal if you are happy to go with whichever carrier the included sim is with, otherwise you should go to carphonewarehouse.
Thats what I did, to keep my 3 sim

A massive £1 cheaper at Carphonewhorehouse (and reportedly supplied already unlocked)

carphonewarehouse.com/mob…PAY

It does make me wonder what it is going to be replaced with, and how much they are likely to be.

+ £10 airtime. only online at this price £10 more in store.

Im confused with this £10 top-up.. so it only applies when you buy this handset in store?.. so if you reserve and collect it you wont have to pay for this top-up?

Nd i guess Tescos have the same deal on aswell for Nokia 5230

Paid £109.99 from Orange about 2 months ago for my Dad. Wish I had waited, rip-off Orange

his, what about hers?

Does this mean you have to pay for the airtime on top of the price at 69.99? Just i have one for sale that's brand new and don't want to be overcharging if it's now on offer.

Showing as £99.99 when I looked it up on the Argos website.

Yes that's right £99.99

just bought this phone £78 carphone warehouse and can confirm unlocked and no branding on phone or box, i got it on vodaphone which is the cheapest instore and didnt have to buy any top up infact didnt even get a sim with it now using it with o2 contract sim.
must say very impressed with the sat nav on it ovi maps and now its free to use and it also comes with a proper nav mount for your car

I bought this phone around Christmas for £100. So unlike standard Nokia's, not very intuative and prone to crashing. I replaced it around Easter time

Still £69.99 in Bradford Store may not be nationwide

Bought the offer that was posted here for £50+10 from e2save (aka Carphone), can confirm that it is unlocked and unbranded.

For the price, it's a reasonable phone. S60 v5 is a bit annoying (lots of menus which don't really use the touch very well) but it's fine for what it does. The slide switch for keypad lock is really useful - much better than an iPhone swipe.

As far as topups go, what happens at e2save is you pay for the topup, and when you register the supplied SIM card the topup is added to the balance. The retailer gets a handset subsidy when the SIM is registered, so they really want you to do that, but I think the topup might go to them in the case that it never is.

PS Anyone want a new Vodafone SIM with £10 credit? ;-)

I've had this phone for 3 months or so now. At first I thought it was great because it can do so much, it's a Symbian smartphone, with free Sat Nav. However the phone is underpowered so the OS lags horribly. The free sat nav is good and has some great features, however the speed camera alerts are not comprehensive, it doesn't alert me to any S.P.E.C.S average speed cameras at all. It's had a map update now, but I had to uninstall the app and NOT use Ovi Suite to install them. If you install using the Ovi suite it seems to give you the old map. So I had to use a seperate Nokia map installer. This has given me a taste of touchscreen smartphones, for the money it is very good. It's built to a budget and that means at least for me it's very frustrating to use at times. I also installed Shazam (which I soon found to be rubbish in comparison to Track I.D. I had used before on S.E. phones) to test and now it won't let me uninstall Shazam, as it's not in the application manager where you normally uninstall apps. The inbuilt file browser doesn't show you the locations of any of the apps that I can see, so it means a lot of messing about to uninstall this app which has gone wrong, a foible of Symbian it would seem. I'd recommend this phone to people on a budget and have who have patience. One bonus though is that I can hold the phone in any hand and any way that I like and the signal strength doesn't drop at all, which is amazing for such a cheap phone :P
