With the cashback & Quidco it should work out at £4.79 per month - Mobiles.co.uk are part of the carphone warehouse group. So far for me they have been pretty good. Cashback claims can be sent by e-mail as well, saves on registered / special delivery costs.

very hit and miss with mobiles.co.uk whether it tracks and / or confirms on Quidco or Topcashback

would it be better to choose 90 auto cashback and have 90 in my account straight away? how does the 13 months free work?

£90 v £195 tho

The 13 month free (equivelant to £185) is by cashback - you can e-mail your claim into mobiles.co.uk in 5 stages as below. You can also chose the £90 automatic cahsback (no claim required) in the free gift selection. I have another phone contract through mobiles.co.uk, so far (touchwood) it's been totally hassle free with the cashback - they've even e-mailed me throughout the cashback process.

Cashbacks - £100 and over. If the cashback is £100 or more, then please claim back in 4 stages (12 month contracts) or 5 stages (18 / 24 month contracts)

months 6, 8, 10 & 12 on a 12 month contract.
months 6, 9, 12, 15 & 18 on an 18 or 24 month contract.

24 months contract?? R U nuts??

most of them seem to be 24 these days. i dont know wat happened to all the 12 month contracts.

Thought this would be hot - from my maths this could cost £4.79pcm (£360-£195-£50)/24 - ok this is cashback but seems a good deal.

Ony downside for me is that's its not compatible with Nokia Ovi maps, is it?

Yup it's compatible, I've just downloaded it onto my 5800 now. It's a really good sat nav too, worldwide!

I think now you also get free music downloads with this handset too from nokia music.

I've had this handset for 11 months now and was starting to dislike it, very temperamental but with the latest firmware updates that came last week and of course the maps and great new applications such as You Tube it's starting to grow on me once more.

I dont think this has built in GPS ? Correct me if I am wrong,. Just read a review and also this on Nokia site:

OK. To follow up on my recent post - I have used the 5530 to Navigate from A to B using the free turn-by-turn voice guidance...It all works! In reply to the post regarding the GPS module. Since the 5530 doesn't have an onboard GPS receiver chip - Yes, you do need to buy a Bluetooth enabled GPS receiver/module. There are a few keychain GPS modules out there now, but if you want to use a Nokia GPS module, then search for "Nokia Bluetooth GPS Module LD-4W". Some stockists might...

Why can't they simply do a straight forward deal instead of doing all this cash-back, redemption ETC.....it's minefield out there. you pay every month and you still worry whether you will get the deal you sign up for or not !! why bother ! :?
end of the day more people would buy contract phone...if they are honest upfront !!

I have the ZAGG Invisibleshield fullbody fit for sale if anybody interested - £10incl

I wouldn't consider this phone worthy of this sort of deal. Considering it's only just over £100 for the phone on a PAYG, it's not worth the effort. I'd want a higher value phone or a shorter contract for this.

Yes, but this is the 5530. Do you have both models? Which is the phone you're saying runs well with the latest firmware?

Just because Ovi maps runs on your 5800 (which is one of the phones listed as suitable), it doesn't necessarily mean it's going to run on the 5530.

I'm sorry, my mistake. Thought it was the 5800 this morning. Must have had sleep in my eyes. :whistling:

The 5800 has the new firmware and Sat Nav.

Ill be using this as a bartering tool.

 i am so confused, 5830 n5800 4321

anyway how do u stop the other things being in ur baskit? i do not want insurence or the tec thing,

I want a nice phone that goes on the tinternet, has a sat nav thing, radio and unlimited text and about 150mins talk time but it is so confusing thats why i still have my old phone £15 pm no tinternet or anything else and i only get free text for that then when the balence gets to about £100 I stopp the topups and use it till nowt left

get a 5230 for £100 (or around £60 if you trust codes and shop at very), and then go on o2 with unlimited internet and texts when you top up £15

No GPS as I have one - but can use google maps app and use phone masts and works excellently
