Just checked Quidco and mobiles.co.uk seem to be offering £50 for a Nokia 5530. Is it me or have I missed something?

If you change the sim isn't the software still locked down to Vodafone Live? Making it a pain in the neck to setup the services of say, orange, t-mobile. Anyone know?

Its a simfree phone ,is it not? There won't be any vodaphone software on it then

Hmm dunno, this is a lot worse than the 5800 Xpress Music (no 3G, no GPS), and you can get that one for 150 on PAYG...

agreed, pay the extra £20 and get the 5800.

I just have and am much happier with the 5800 compared to the 5530 (which I kept for a couple of days before sending back and getting the 5800).

read his question....

Looking to get a phone with WiFi... I text a lot though, and touch screen phones worry me when it comes to text (big fingers!). How easy is this phone (or the 5580, since people are mentioning it) to use?

Thanks for the pointers, but oddly enough the 5530 suits me better. I have no 3G coverage at home (normal coverage is sparse!), and no real need for GPS (I know where my settee and my bed are, and I know the route between them!). However, the 5530 having Wifi support is a significant plus for me. I'm mainly after a replacement for my phone and my MP3 player, and I get the impression the ExpressMusic series are the best for sound quality?

I believe the interface for the 5800 is slightly better (faster?), but I'll be going for the 5530 for my Chrimbo pressie!

qwertymz, if I remember rightly, the touch screen is resistive rather than capacitive, so it needs a bit more of a 'shove' rather than a light touch. But I think it is just something you get used to? At least having to be heavy handed might reduce the chances of missed characters?

i got this phone and its the only phone to last me longer then a week... if you have big fingers i would not advice it, its suitable if u have bit nails lol otherwise its easier to use the stylus then fingers.
i ordered from mobiles.co.uk but service it veryyyyyyyyy slow and memory card does not work and they are being really silly about replacing it..;.
hope this helps

Thanks to all who replied... guess I'll be avoiding this phone then! It's annoying, just want a good Wi-Fi phone I can use, really!!

Care to share where you can get these for £100? I'd be interested at that price point.

Bought this phone from Mobiles.co.uk around a month ago. Good service & quick delivery. Phone is very good, recommended. I had an LG Arena previous and phone was OK but much prefer the 5530. Recieve's good reviews wherever you check. Recon one of the best phones I have used, easy user interface, good sound, reponsive touch. If you don't need GPS or 3G then go for this.

ive got big hands and fingers, i get on with this phone fine, i thought i wouldnt, its a great phone indeed, very snappy fast cpu etc.

Has this expired? Now showing as £129.90 + £10 topup + £3.99 delivery.

seems like it has now expired £129 +£10 top up........

On my travels looking for contract deals on this phone found a PAYG deal at carphone warehouse. Its a web exclusive (i.e. 5 pound quidco) and is 99.95 when bought with 10 pound top up (on t-mobile or virgin). FYI if you're still looking mate.
