e2save are offering the following:
Nokia 6500 Classic or slide Clearance for only £1.99 per month on a 12 month contract
02 200mins + 200 texts
Its the Clearance phone
That equates to £23.88 for the year.
This is on a cashback deal. I've never had any trouble with E2save as they are part of CPW
It may also be possible to get £50 cashback from Quidco (I can't seem to find it on the site once I click through quidco so if anyone can help)
Otherwise its only available through from this link:
e2save.com/O2-…0CL

I received the deal via an email

Is this a clearance? I can't check cos i'm on my phone browsing and it's slow checking big pages. Nice phone, although i reckon it's a 6300 in a nicer dress. I'd prefer the 6500 slide. Probabily not enough minutes as well. Still a good deal.

I can't see this on the e2save website either.

That's not the classic though, although it is another good deal.

If it wasn't cashback I would go for it. E2save are very good at cashback deals, they handle the request easily and the terms aren't a huge list like other people. But I already have a cashback deal with them so keeping track of two might get confusing.

Hot deal though!

Thanks for the email OP, but my internet security says its not safe to open....can u not post the link on here????

Anyone else help?

What is that page for exactly?

The title is misleading and wrong

It should say: Nokia 6500 Slide Clearance.

Full Spec:

If you submit this with your email address in you will receive the email that I received with the link on the the Nokia 6500 Classic

would this work on three?

this is not a good deal. you can beter ones with 600 minutes and 500 texts. go to www.20000mobiledelas.co.uk, then in "Pay monthly" section choose Free line rental as free gift. you can then browse through all offers from various retails outlets including e2save. a link is provided to get straight to the deal although you should remember to go through quidco to get the extra money.

lol yeah i misread what i saw earlier hence the edit

still a very misleading OP if you need to be emailed links etc though.

Hey guys - Envirofone.co.uk offers £55 cash back for the phone handset itself - even more chance to save money!!!

Same, also, is this phone any good?? I have a 6280i atm

The 6500 is a good upgrade from your 6280, I had the 6280 phone for 18 months until Feb this year and the 6500 was one of the ones I was tempted to upgrade to. Ended up going for the N95 but even so

What phone numbers are included in the tarriff? I have only ever been on PAYG which is simpler and I dont have a landline so basically any phonecalls I make are on mobile, which includes 0845, 0800, mobiles and landlines?

This is a good phone, i have the black slide one. I use onestop phone shop also part of CPW and have never had any problems with my cashback claims, until the last time i tried to claim. 3 times i ended up sending in my claim before it was finally honoured and paid. They tried telling me it was out of the claim period when it was 100% not. after a lot of recorded delivery corrospondance they did finally pay out.

This is a top deal, Ive got 2 contracts already but if not Id get this. Tempted to get and use the phone on 3 but not sure if its easily unlocked

E2save clearance phones are mostly refurbs/returns and usually (but not always) come in white boxes with basic accessories. I've had two phones from them and received the cashback OK. Don't take the offer of online billing as you need paper bills to claim and you must stick carefully to the T&Cs for cashback claims.
Apart from that they are great deals...with the quidco and selling the phone on ebay I made a tidy profit and used the mins/texts for my iphone.

What i said was to use the 2000mobiledeals site to find teh best deal, hen exit and go through quidco to e2save to get the commission.

Grrr, I've just gone with 3 and their £25 a month unlimited text deal on this phone.

Ah well, I've never trusted redemption cashbacks and I never will. If something goes wrong you aren't legally obligated to do a thing about it

Have some heat tho as I'm sure some people will benefit from this.

Can anyone say - on balance - how good e2save are at cashback???

Is it 90% certain, 80% certain or what?

from my experience, i think the success is to a large extend depend on us. As long as you stick to the TnCs, cahback from a reputable co will be OK.

i personally would not give them any tempting loophole e.g.:
- send the claim as soon as you receive it (not wait until close to deadline, it'll give you time if something went wrong)
- use special delivery not just recorded (psychologically, it warns the coy that i'm organized. also the £500 insurance as a backup)
- always take backup documentation (photocopy, photo etc)

I have had about 8 phones over the years from E2 Save and have never had a problem. Just a matter of making sure that you send in the correct bill. As far as the phones themselves go, all of them have looked brand new.

Does anyone know if you're tied in to paying for the VIP Gadget Helpline for 11 months after the first free month? or can you cancel? - i can't see anything about cancelling it...

PLUS 1 Month FREE Insurance (£5.99 pm thereafter, can be cancelled) and
VIP Gadget Helpline FREE for 1 month (£2.99 a month thereafter)

Good advice though I would note that you have to pay extra for Special Delivery "consequential loss" insurance (well worth the little extra) then if they don't deliver your claim and you lose out then the PO are liable for your loss...without the extra insurance then the standard Special Delivery T&CS make them liable solely for the value of the contents ie a couple of pieces of paper.
In all cases use some form of recorded delivey as E2Save will take a tracking number as proof of delivery as long as it shows on the Post office Track and Trace system.
