Not a great saving to be had here but thought it worth posting as this looks to be a great phone at a reasonable price.

Comes with a big battery, one those fancy edge to edge screens, a really nice design (IMO) and Android One, so it should always be up to date.

Seems to be a phone to fill the gap left by Nexus.

Specs:

Pure Android 8 Oreo
6-inch Full HD (2160 x 1080) IPS LCD screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 3
2.2 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 660 mobile platform
64 GB storage / 4GB RAM / micro SD support
12 MP 1.4µm f/1.75 2PD with ZEISS optics, 13 MP 1.0µm f/2.6 with ZEISS optics,
16 MP selfie camera with autofocus and ZEISS optics
Sealed 3,800 mAh battery
154 x 75.8 x 7.85 mm
Wi-Fi / GPS / LTE / NFC

Full hands on and actual use review

Massive battery, headphone jack and stock Android. Hot, hot, hot!
Ideal if you are looking to upgrade from a nexus device and not willing to pay premium pixel prices. Nexus lovers will love this device IMO
You'd think this processor would make the phone useless judging from some of these comments.

"The benchmarks show a performance increase across the board for the Snapdragon 660, with the chipset coming close to last year's flagship SoCs. "

"There's a noticeable uptick in battery life as well from the likes of the Snapdragon 650/652/653."

"It benchmarks close to the Snapdragon 835 in some respects, and handily beats every other budget SoC on the market."

"The Snapdragon 660 is revelatory, largely because it will bring most of the Snapdragon 835's best features to the $400 to $500 range, and will allow manufacturers to get away with offering a mid-range chip for their flagships."

3800mah..massive,,,?

Seeing as most mainstream phone batteries don't even go near that size, yes.

One of the most interesting phones announced at MWC this year
Semms very good price, thanks for posting @DirtyQwerty
I've been considering a Galaxy S8.... But now thinking this might be the upgrade from my Lenovo P2......
What about Treble support???
Is it not too expensive for an SD660?
looks good but considering you could get the nokia 8 in similar price range, why opt for this, doesnt it have a better processor?
This phone looks to be a nice mid-tier offering from Nokia. I'm sure it will tempt some customers away from flagship devices if they're looking for a (relatively) reasonably priced upgrade.

No doubt the price will drop somewhat quickly too. I think I might go for it after the first significant drop.

Heat from me,this is a phone i want
Dual Sim?
Looks nice
I'm really tempted by Nokia phones, especially this one, but my wife's Nokia 5 has been quite buggy, and the Oreo update has introduced new bugs.

It will definitely have that, it's comes with Android Oreo out of the box and is part of the android one program.

Really like the look of the new Nokia lineup. Especially the Nokia 8 Sirocco, although I wouldn't pay £800
Seems like there is a phone for everyone, also the the 'banana' phone.
This phone the Nokia 7 plus will sell like hot cakes.
Great they are back on track.

Phone of the year for me. I couldn't care less about those overpriced £800+ things.
Nokia 3310 way better plus it’s actually quite a bit cheaper

It's not massive, just a sensible size.
It's the one feature that's putting me off a bit. I was about to spend almost the same money on a SH Huawei Mate 9, but this seems to do everything it does (big screen, headphone socket, reasonable battery) and running an up to date OS.
Heat added!

I would've totally went for this for the bigger screen, but I bought a brand new Sony XA1 Ultra last week for £180.

Someone asked earlier if it was dual SIM. I watched most of the broadcast from Barcelona

but don't recall a mention of dual SIM.

Anyone know?

If only it were a little more compact.
This is very very HOT
What the camera like? That's the main thing for me

Samples from pre-release software are very good.
Shame its the 16 of april for release

Dual Sim?

Hybrid dual SIM.

Wouldn't pay more than £300 for this due to the snapdragon 660.

Jesus, you look at this price then the S9... Samsung charge way too much more. I prefer stock Android too.

This is expensive for a SD 660 and isn't a great deal, it's confusing seeing people raving about this price point. Don't get me wrong it's a decent price, just not a great price.

The search for a replacement for my Nexus 5 continues

I watched the keynote and the Pure Android makes everything work fine, no lag.

What I was about to say... We're almost in Snapdragon 8xx territory. Snapdragon 6xx are under £200.

Definitely applaud HMD for running with Android One with their new phones. Of course not saying the 660 won't be enough for the phone, it'll run smoothly and undoubtedly has enough oomph for the average user.

I just think it doesn't offer exceedingly good value for money. Taking into account the phone as a whole it's hard to get excited at the price point personally.
Is Mi A1 not better value than this?

Better deal yes at less than half the price. But unlikely a better phone. Camera, battery and Snapdragon 625 Vs 660 would be the key differences.
