Good price considering the specs on this, and the cheapest that I could find currently find on Sim Free

The stylish Nokia 7.1 is perfect for taking stunning social media photos, browsing your favourite sites and firing up apps. GPS will help you get to your destination quicker, while the SD card slot provides storage expansion capabilities.

Dual lenses
The Nokia 7.1’s 12MP / 5MP rear lenses with ZEISS optics provide great snaps. You can take photos and videos with a twist using 3D personas, masks and filters in Dual-Sight mode or tweak the optional manual controls for white balance, ISO, aperture or shutter speed to get that perfect shot.

Great qualities
32GB of storage can quickly fills up, however not to worry as the Nokia 7.1 has a handy memory card slot – pop in a memory card that you’ve previously purchased (up to 400GB) and away you go. Unlocking is easy thanks to the quick-to-use fingerprint scanner, located on the rear of the phone; one touch and away you go.

Great design
Thanks to the Nokia 7.1’s Full-HD+, 5.8” display, viewing photos or watching your videos will be a pleasure. The phone has been created with an aluminium frame, along with a glass front and back and shaped edges for style and comfort.

Plug in
There’s no need to go hunting for a headphone adapter as the Nokia 7.1 has a 3.5mm headphone jack, so just plug in and rock out.

Was trying to get John Lewis to price match Laptops Direct's £149.00 but …Was trying to get John Lewis to price match Laptops Direct's £149.00 but may just bite at this price.

They price matched mine no bother. I've had it 2 weeks now and can tell you it's performance is better than my iphone 6 which has now been handed down to the kids.
Very sleek, sharp display and graphics, expandable memory is a godsend, battery life blows my iphone 6 out of the water. Fingerprint recognition works well, camera is the best I've had on a phone. Only downside is no imessaging

Making the switch to android after being with apple for 12 years filled me with dread but up to press I'm glad I took the plunge
Ooh, heat, tenner less than the cheapest ever, unbelievable how much this has reduced in price. 🔥 🔥
Fab price for a pure Android One handset, with get up and go Snapdragon power!

Mine updated to Android 9 Pieface (official) back in march, before she went off to the mobile pile in the sky, made it silky smooth and a great pleasure to use!

The updates are mandated as part of Android One.

Classic phone. I had one. Used to play Bounce on it with the pen. Good times.
I own the 7 plus. Great phone, but Nokia have the worst service I've ever used. Paid for a repair only to have it sent back not touched. After 3 months of them denying it was paid and no phone, I was refunded. Now they won't repair so no phone for 5 months.

Crazy and you can't call anyone or talk to a supervisor. Just chat/email. Generic replies.

Awful service for an amazing phone.
I just took a punt on one also, £135 delivered going through Quidco cant be bad

Cheers OP

You can format the external storage as internal with later Android …You can format the external storage as internal with later Android versions.

You can do that with some phones but I can't see how to do it for the Nokia 7.1.
Only option was external storage for photos, videos, maps and music.
I bought a 256G card hoping to store apps on it but can't see how to do it.
I'd be happy to be proved wrong though!

£5:05 cashback via Topcashback.
I got one given to me as a warranty replacement for faulty Nokia 3.1 I bought from carphone warehouse that they could not fix. Considering I only paid £40 for the Nokia 3.1 sim free in the first, I reckon I got a great deal

Nokia Has faster processor so Nokia will be a bit snappier. The camera may be a bit better on Nokia, too,But still within the mid-range territory. Battery life would probably be decent but not the best on the market on both of these phones. Nokia is a bit better phone but if your mum does not use a phone a lot, she may as well be happy with Xiaomi.
Go via TCB and get £5.05 cashback. You are all welcome
Is this better than the Moto G7 Power?

SAR rating.... Nokia (and a few others, Samsung, LG etc) are working hard to minimise the SAR levels you experience when using their headsets. The legal limit is 1.6W/Kg (iirc). This Nokia is rated at 0.26W/Kg and the Xiaomi redmi 6 is a (fairly whopping) 0.964. Apple tend to be high as well.

From FCC

There is considerable confusion and misunderstanding about the meaning of the maximum reported Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) values for cell phones (and other wireless devices). SAR is a measure of the rate of RF (radiofrequency) energy absorption by the body from the source being measured – in this case, a cell phone. SAR provides a straightforward means for measuring the RF exposure characteristics of cell phones to ensure that they are within the safety guidelines set by the FCC.

Many people mistakenly assume that using a cell phone with a lower reported SAR value necessarily decreases a user’s exposure to RF emissions, or is somehow “safer” than using a cell phone with a high SAR value. While SAR values are an important tool in judging the maximum possible exposure to RF energy from a particular model of cell phone, a single SAR value does not provide sufficient information about the amount of RF exposure under typical usage conditions to reliably compare individual cell phone models. Rather, the SAR values collected by the FCC are intended only to ensure that the cell phone does not exceed the FCC’s maximum permissible exposure levels even when operating in conditions which result in the device’s highest possible – but not its typical - RF energy absorption for a user.

Many thanks for this info

I put an online price match request in. I did phone them and they said the price match claim can only be done online so will need to wait.
What difference would I feel between this, the Nokia 8 or the pixel 3a? Mostly looking for something that would be a massive step up camera wise from my current phone (razer)

All this price matching activity going on with JL....the "Partners" will have even less of a bonus to look forward to next year!!
Worried this will go out of stock and not be price matched so thinking of getting it from fonehouse...
Grabbed one from fonehouse. They seem reliable.
Ordered this from Fonehouse. If Nokia have a 2 year warranty and what I've read about JL customer services recently then I'm better off just getting it.

Anyway, this thread is a bit of a Godsend as my current phone battery just died (and then came back) last night so it looks like it's on its way out.

Big thanks to the OP and heat added.
Just to check, I have the Nokia 6.1 and the edges are very slightly curved, meaning I can't get glass protectors for it.

Is it the same with the 7.1?
I ordered via Fonehouse this morning thinking it would be delivered by tomorrow (I read on their website 'order before 8pm and get it delivered tomorrow) but the estimated arrival is 21/05 (annoyed). Needed it for a bday present... oh well will be a late one

Mines arriving tomorrow!
Anybody else had to provide additional ID I've been asked for either driving license or passport plus cc statements...

smells fishy for a £140 sim free phone.
JL replied after just 1 hour.
They price matched so I called Fonehouse and cancelled.
