Nokia 8, £275.49 at Carphone Warehouse (£259.99 upfront cost / £15.50 monthly rolling contract)
£275.49Carphone Warehouse Deals
Hopefully this will save people a few quid compared to the one that's currently on the front page.
Get this with a 1 month contract from Vodafone for £15.50, which you can cancel on day one.
This is £259.99 up front, plus a 1 month contract for £15.50, which brings it to only £275.
Whilst cashback isn't guaranteed (so I haven't included it in the price), Top Cashback should also give you £50, bringing it down to potentially £225.

Yes. Note that it does support microSD, but that would use the second SIM slot.Edit: There are different variants, only some support dual SIM, no idea which variant CPW carry!
This is my position exactly.
The 8 is faster, and cheaper.
The 7 plus seems to have a better camera, will be supported for a bit longer, has a bigger battery and has a bigger screen. I think it's a better looking phone too.
I want the 7 plus, really, but for an extra £125? Or I can just wait until that drops in price....but then I'll be waiting for another new phone
But its a saving so voted hot! Thanks
Keep up the good work.
Can't find where it says this is dual sim on the specs, may be I'm wrong
pretty sure the second sim slot is not activated.
on the box there is only 1 imei
you what?
It is specifically listed on the Nokia spec list:
nokia.com/en_…a-8
SIM slot 1 nano-SIM slot + 1 nano-SIM or 1 MicroSD card slot
On the Nokia website, not every phone is the same, some will have single sims for certain companies/markets.
Yeah, you're right, I was just having a quick look through the manual and they refer to different variants. Pretty shoddy to not make it obvious that specs differ on their own site though!
Hopefully I've not missold anyone a phone!
I did the 1 month deal not a problem.
Na, don't worry about it..
However, make sure you have a solicitor on hand just in case
Ah thanks for expanding that. How you finding the phone?
I haven't got it
I had it for about a week and sold it on.
If you have a dual SIM variant, you can either put a second SIM or a memory card into slot 2.
If you have a single SIM variant, you can only put a memory card into slot 2.

Which phone have you got now? Liking it? My head is scrambled over which of these phones to get
Ha, honor view 10 which i love, but now tempted by the p20/P20 Pro deals posted today.... Haha
Will just keep honor view 10, it does everything I need it to
Just weighing up this against the JL deal.
Is the Nokia 8 dual sim? The Nokia 8 is available with Hybrid Dual SIM. This is where there are 2 SIM slots, one that’s used for the Nano SIM and another that can be used for a memory card or a second SIM. You just need to choose whether you want to load up on memory or have an additional SIM.

No. This is the single sim variant
I've done it twice, first time no problem at all, second time still worth the hassle with £90 off the SIM free price after cashback
Not seen any reviews on the 7 Plus. Having the telephoto as secondary is more useful than a wide angle on paper, but it totally depends on the actual execution of course, have you seen any actual reviews of it? The Nokia 8 had some pretty poor camera reviews, with one of the Moto G5 saying it was better. Plenty of people say it's the software, so that might not bode well for the 7 either, I'm hoping they've done some work on it.
The credit check not that difficult really, takes 5 minutes max. What kind of an hourly rate you on to make it not worth that?!
Well.... Now you've asked.... An hourly rate of 1pence which I'm really more than happy with
Battery life?
They're overpaying you
No one could really answer that question in a way that would satisfy everyone. I had a Nokia 8 and the battery life never gave me any issues. Do you expect it to last three days without charge or do you just want it to last the day before you stick it on charge overnight? If it's the latter then I didn't personally have any issues. If you sit watching videos on your phone all day then you'll need an external battery pack (or a Lenovo P2).
It wont be locked to vodafone. Not when it comes from Carphone Warehouse.
From everything ive read Nokia phones come unlocked.
Order a three sim online for free and check first.
I rang carephone a few moments ago. The lady on the phone said that if you cancel straight after purchase than you have to return the handset. She said you have to keep the contract for minimum of one month.
so when’s the best time to cancel the contract without jeopardising the top cash back payout and not risking penalty to return the phone.
I guess the safest bet may be to cancel after first month then we would have to pay 2 months line rental in total. Even that scenario would still make it a very hot deal indeed.
Thanks
Why talk to carphone, You need to ask Vodafone. To be sure.
But The norm is get phone pop in sim call voda and end contract on day one.
All sorted.
