Nope, single transaction £399+
My dad has this phone and he usually struggles to see a screen outdoors; this has one of the brightest screens on a phone (upto 700 nits) and it’s extremely clear - said it’s the best on a phone he’s had (his previous phone was an LG G4)

For the processor this phone has (top of the range until a few months ago) combined with the QHD screen and camera this is honestly an absolute steal.

There is no honour in owning an honor.
Nice, was going to get the 8 but will hold out for the 6 being released soon
Are there any disadvantages to buying through AO versus Amazon or carphone warehouse?

I dont think so.
I ordered a fridge freezer from them.
The inside of the fridge had a small dent. So contacted them sent a pic of damage.
Offered to take it back and replace or 20% off.
Took discount and was very pleased with resolution.
All sorted with 1 call and 1 email, all within 2 hours.

+1

AO has probably one of the best customer services out there. I will prefer them on any other retailer.

£50 quid cashback from Carphone Warehouse through TCB for an effectice price of £225, if you're willing to take out a 1 month Vodafone contract.

You might not like the phone, but the actual specs can't be faulted, SD835 is near top of the range, was in fact until very recently. QHD screen. What in the actual spec lets it down for the price, even a bit more? How it performs is a different matter to the specs.

It actually performs a lot better than the spec says as it comes with pure Android.
Some decent price phones on there, I like the look of the Motorola Z2 Play 64GB for the same price.

Wouldn't mind knowing of something else that beats this brand new for under £300. Grey imports don't count

Choose wisely.
I used to have Moto X Force (Flagship at the time) - never ever again.
- Security updates delayed by 3-6 months.
- Nougat upgrade arrived about year later than on Nexus.

Currently own Nokia 8.
- Monthly security updates (currently on Oreo 8.1, March security patch)
- Oreo upgrade arrived week or two after Pixel phones.
- Bugfixes in every single update

Assume they were just trolling :P

Really nice phone, this - one of few phones running Oreo 8.1, almost certain to get Android P quicker than most. No bloat or unnecessary apps or app replication, decent camera when you install the Pixel APK (although the Lumia camera update is incoming), really REALLY bright and high res screen, bluetooth 5.0, Snapdragon 835 (same as the Pixel 2, LG V30, Oneplus 5T etc), super-fast UFS 2.1 flash storage, OZO high res audio in videos via the high quality MEMS mics (amazing for recording live music).

Not sure what's not to like for this price to be honest, unless you're obsessed with bezel-less designs. As far as solid phones go this is excellent value for money, so I thought I'd present my own information on the device for those who weren't aware. You might be able to get most of the listed specs or features via some grey import from China or a second hand device from a recycler like MusicMagpie but combined with the near-stock Android and fast updates I think this has to be a pretty good deal for a brand new device from a reputable seller - no matter how you look at it.
