Wait.. No.. Wait.. No... Black Friday...

Yeah but screen ain't curvy

I'm actually yet to find any particularly useful application for the edge screen on my S7.

That's a really good deal. Phone is practically free

I know, saw it sim free on carphone site for £399, then saw this for basically £50 more with plan

Aghhhhhhhhhhhhh.
I want one, been looking at the £22.00 a month without Cashback. But this is so tempting.
locked in till February.
have son heat.

What's Nokia's Android like, they leave it in pretty pure form?

Pretty much from what I've read, just been reading about the beta oreo update, virtually pure android

Very very tempting now.

Not an outstanding phone but you can forgive a lot of it's flaws at this money.

Not bad but issue I find with most pure android phones is that camera apps are lacking which undermines the hardware in that respect. Nokia are know for some pretty great camera phones and optics, going to read up on some reviews as this is good value for money by the looks of it and the battery life on my S7 Edge is disappointing me to say the least.

was about to get me mum the Samsung galaxy S7 edge from same company with the same 3 mobile deal , but no cash back and £25 a month . this at just £18 a month seems a good deal , how does this phone compare to the Samsung galaxy S7 edge ?

The Nokia 8 has a much better chipset than the one in the S7 Edge. In fact it's the latest Snapdragon 835.

You'll also get updates which is more than you can say for Samsung.

The S7 is waterproof.

Voted hot

Ok cheers , just orderer for the mother . After watching a few reviews it looks a good phone for her and a decent camera .
With the £75 auto cash back its a cracking deal at £18.88 a month ,

How do you get the cash back?

At this price, cant even think of how not to get it Thanks OP.

With the plan included for kind of free for the next 2 years, its such a bargain

ok.

so can i just confirm would the amount debited from your account each month be £22? (but obviously because of the cashback it ends up working out as £18.88)

Is there any such great deal on this without being tied down to a contract?

but only actually paying around £50-£80 for the 24 months of unlimited mins , texts and 4gb of data , this is a hot deal . the phone is selling for between £399-£450 .

yozzman12348 m ago

correct

ok.

man..... i'd been trying to wait until black friday but this is SOOOOOOO hard to resist. Just dont want to end up kicking myself if something better comes along. (hukd needs a crystal ball & a time machine! )

Can I buy this, stick my old unlimited data Three SIM into the phone, stick this SIM in a different phone, and finally change the number of this SIM to the one it replaced on that other phone?

Wait a few more days and take advantage of 14 day return policy on this if something comes up on black Friday. Problem solved 😁

Apologies for the silly question: is the phone gonna be locked to Three network?

I am locked in on a contract for about 8/9 more months, but partner isn't. Was thinking that if it isn't locked, I could take the phone and put in my SIM, and she swaps to this Three contract.

I realise it is still a good deal even if I just write off 8 months of the contract, but if there is some flexibility, it would make it even sweeter.

First World problems

do you undergo a credit check for this?
i've never been on a contract before ..... any advice (apart from read the small print!) - can i set a cap on spending if i go over allowances with 3?
also if i get this deal would the contract date start from the date of order? so for example if i were to order today 6th November, i'd go through the checkout process but not pay anything then my first months payment would be taken a month from now so 6th dec & then it'd continue to be debited on 6th of every month for the duration of the contract? Is there an option to edit the billing date/date the money is debited from you account?
I assume all payments must be direct debit? I can't pay it manually each month?

also is the contract with 3 or mobile phones direct? As in when it were time to upgrade would I turn to 3 to possibly offer a retention deal.

edit: i'm reading reviews on trustpilot for this company (probably not a sensible idea) but interesting all the same. Someone wrote how the cashback offer is just a tagline to lure you in so i decided to read the extra small print. It says

"Automatic cashback will be paid directly into your bank account within 90 days. There is no need to do anything, the funds will be automatically sent to your account from us and you will receive an email as soon as the payment has been made. The contract must be active for 90 days for the automatic-cashback to be accepted, therefore if you cancel before this deadline, your automatic cashback will become void.

How to claim cash back & line rental discounts

We offer cash backs and line rental discounts with selected deals on our website - The cash back is shown as a discount to the standard monthly line rental by dividing the cash back amount over the initial contract duration of the airtime agreement. For example; a £72 cash back, or discounted line rental on a 24 month contract would reduce the standard line rental by £3 per month.

If your deal includes cashback or line rental discount this will be shown on the confirmation email sent immediately following a successfully completed order. Cashback and line rental discount is claimed in five separate instalments, on specific billed months over the initial duration of the airtime agreement.

Cashback on 24 month contracts can be claimed as of the 6th, 9th, 12th, 15th and 18th billed month of the connection or upgrade.

To make a Cashback claim, simply fill out our cashback claim form (which can be found in the ‘My Account’ section of the website) on the appropriate date and upload a copy of that month’s bill. Only the one month’s bill is required. The mobile contract bill you provide us must be in relation to the pay-monthly or upgraded contract we connected you to.

Please note that claims must be made within 60 days from the date shown on the appropriate mobile phone contract bill you upload to us. The cashback will then be approved and paid by bank transfer directly into your bank account as supplied by you at the point of ordering within 14 working days."

Now, i'm confused. Because on the deal link it says automatic cashback, you;ll get it in 90 days & dont need to do anything. However when you add it to your basket it talks about effectively reducing the line rental by "x" amount. So it kind mentions both the auto & the line rental part. If its the line rental one then you don't get it back within 90 days but instead faf about (see above)

Is this phone not too wide, looks like it will be too big width wise to sit in the hand comfortably

S7 edge has better camera, water proofing and probably larger battery and rest everything else seem better on nokia

Excellent value and voted hot.
I have this phone, paying £25pm for 8gb data.
Everything about the phone is good except the camera. I'm hoping for a software fix buy if this doesn't come soon I going to have to sell it an get somthing else.

I find the camera has inconsistent focus speed, sometimes instant, others 2-3 seconds. Inconsistent indoor photos, often blurred. I have a 1 year old baby and this camera cannot get a decent picture, by comparison to my old Samsung S6 and my wife's Xiaomi mi6.
I may just be fussy though, I had a Oneplus 5 and sent that back because I found the camera to be awfull.
