This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Having never bought from cex before, I don't know what condition this would come in.

But £175 for a Grade B which is the second tier grade for this phone, seems like a decent deal to me.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

RE: the grading

I once asked in-store about why different items with the same grading come back good/bad and was advised that the core stores do it properly where as the franchises are really poor at grading.

I once ordered a surface pro 2 128gb and was sent a surface rt with a 128gb sd card in it....

My only criticism is their grading is all over the place. I’ve had numerous B grade phones that are worse than c grade. I have seen the odd B grade that is immaculate, just no box but it’s few and far between.

Bought a mate 10 Pro from cex recently. Grade b. Came boxed and was like new.l, included the case and cables and charger wee brand new, Only a little Dot on side of phone which made it a grade b. Needless to say i think I got lucky.

But it can be hit and miss.

Good price, voted hot
As already mentioned, cex grading is all over the place. You also run the risk of a few months down the line the person who sold the phone could either stop paying the contract or report the phone lost or stolen and it gets cut off (has happened to me over 7 times!!).

That being said, this phone is great apart from the camera. Every so often it doubles up elements of whatever you are taking a picture of, which is odd. For example i took a picture of my wife and two kids and my eldest had two mouths!
This could be just an app issue so i've installed the google camera today to see if that's any better.

What happens in this case? Will CEX refund without problem?

Thanks.

Yes, that was my understanding as well, but you get some franchisees who are thorough as well. Corporate are more consistent. I've had that too! Ordered an iMac 24", got a 20", that was a nightmare as I had to hump it back to them. Or a Garmin Fenix 3 HR that was actually a standard Fenix 3 with an external HR. But as the prices are sometimes good and you do get a good warranty, I tend to chance it.

They should do. Don't make up a fault as they will test it and can refuse but you're covered under Consumer Rights Act if they get really difficult with you.

Tha'ts where the fun part comes in - you get a 24 month guarantee that they'll do something to help but whats not specified is that after 6 months you'll only get back the value of what the item is worth at that point, not the original payment amount.
The only thing I worry about with older used phones is battery life as the battery is likely to have degraded from constant use by the previous owner. Never bought a second hand phone though so I could be wrong...
cant comment on the deal, but I had a Nokia 8 before the USB C charging connector stopped accepting the full connector into it. But did really like the phone, nice and smooth and no crappy software preinstalled like the flooping Sony that they sent me in replacement full of their crappy software and ad popping up now and again!

It’s not really a risk; it’s more of an inconvenience.

I have to say though that in over ten years of buying from Cex I have only had two phones get blocked, from probably over a hundred devices (yes, I’m nuts).
I have used CEX an absolute tonne over the years for buying and trading in. Cash prices aren't great but trade in often is just easier than using flea bay.
I have had a number of items grade B that were near immaculate and i was extremely happy, multiple B Grade that are as you would expect - few scratches or marks, but mostly good and absolutely usable.
I have also had a few grade B that were shocking. I ordered a Dell Venue and it looked like someone had taken sandpaper to it!
It is a bit of luck of the draw with the Grade B as it covers everything just under "Brand New" to "Almost Destroyed"

The one thing is if you arent happy i have had no problems with their exchange/refund policy, just nipping into local store to return.

Any item you ordered is sent from one of the stores - there is no central warehouse. So before ordering hit check stock in store - will show you which stores have it in stock - If one local i often find it best to just drive and check the quality.

Also if you return it takes a while to reappear in online stock - return, get the exchange voucher and immediately reorder - you know you will get a different item of stock

They have a 14 day return policy no questions asked. Therefore, you can buy as many as you want until you are happy with the product, and return the other ones. I’ve done this quite a few times, no problems at all 👌
Ussasx32 if you check conditions in store do you buy it there or do you go online?

Over 7 times?
8?
A billion?

What an odd statement to make.

Over 7 times its happened! What have you learnt from your experience?
I was tempted but ended up going for an s7 edge B grade Vodafone. The handset was unlocked and in immaculate condition with box and fast charger. It was B grade due to no headphones. 🏻
Only went for that as I could actually see it before buying. Looks like the way to go when dealing with CEX.

Well, unfortunately as already mentioned it's luck of the draw and cex buy lots of rubbish that no one else buys

Sorry, it definitely happened 7 times but I wasn't sure if it was even more. Next time I won't share my experience due to my decision to use a unit of measure that you disagree with...

Just winding you up. Nothing to do with the unit of measurement, just odd to be so specific yet approximate at the same time.
CeX grading isn't amazing but a B grade is decent - they have 24 months warranty so if it's not a good enough grade you can return it.
