True. The Mi6 is cheaper. But shipped from China. With little chance of warranty. And no 3.5mm jack which ruins it all

I still feel sad that the real Nokia died, with their amazing record of pushing mobile technology forward.

Excellent price for a top spec phone. quite interested

Pretty much the lowest priced SD835 phone that you can buy from a High Street shop. HOT.

I'm guessing it will be £500. As long as there aren't any silly hardware issues, (jelly scrolling for instance,) should be worth every penny considering how good my OP3 was, and still is.

I'd rather have a micro sd card slot if it means having big bezels.

I got the Nokia 8 with watch deal and it's done me well so far, although I'm trading in the watch. Camera isn't great in low light but it's adequate for my needs (I'm no instagram star).

If only I'd waited another month!

Ah fudge! I've been wanting this so bad but the polished blue 128gb 6gb ram version is apparently landing on 8th of this month and I really wanted to check it out before I made a decision which to buy.

If I buy this would I return it if I see the polished blue version and prefer it? I'm sure they do do return but can't remember the tc's. As long as box isn't open? Think it has to be purchased online too?

Well I have the Mi6 and I can safely say it's the best phone I have owned even after having used the Samsung S8 and the Sony Xperia XZ Premium. I am covered through my bank for my phone so warranty no issue and 3.5mm jack is not a problem as I don't listen to music through my phone!

Purchased, thanks.

Agreed. No headphone Jack is a dealbreaker for me. With the Nokia you are also getting pretty close to stock Android.

I suspect this is still a better deal, although there may be a bit of a wait.

£22 p/m with 4gb
Or
£25 p/m with 8gb

I went with the 8gb in blue and very happy with it, no upfront costs on these and £40 tcb tracking.

Edit: With regards to the mi6, I'm coming to this phone from a mi5 and found it to be a big upgrade, almost stock android (didn't like miui), much smoother and faster to use, the mi5 was oddly slow for a flagship phone, battery life wasn't great and it's ram management was terrible, worse than my Z3C.
I still think based on the mi5 they have some way to go on the software side, maybe they have done so with the mi6, but I am happier with the Nokia.

What a deal it is. And what a price. Awesome Keep it going Nokia

Also Android Oreo is available in beta right now, signed up and is working fine on mine.

I ordered the 22pm 4gb blue model last Sunday, stock said 5-10 days and i received the phone next day monday. Really happy and for me its the new Nexus.

Great price, but i'm hoping for the Amazon price match, not wanting to have to deal with CPW customer service if possible...

You mean £540 right?

Great price! Excellent software support from HMD so far too, even on the low end models.

It might not be the flashiest phone of 2017, but it shares the majority of the specs with the rest of the flagships and the build quality is excellent. £400 is a much more sensible price for a flagship.

I'm guessing the price has been reduced due to the incoming Nokia 9, which will have much smaller bezels and improved camera.

Why is no headphone jack such a big deal?
Just use the adapter... It's not the end of the world.
Leave it plugged in into your headphones if you think you'll lose it or just stick it into your wallet... Bag for ladies.
It's really a nonexistent issue. Just a minor inconvenience.

I love bezels
Been itching to upgrade from my HTC 10 - but don't want a big screen and want UK warranty...
Looks like this could fit the bill!

There wasn't an issue until it started getting removed. It doesn't really benefit anyone removing it. You can't charge while listening to music (which bothers some), or use an OTG storage device, or whatever else. Having 2 USB Type-C connections would be better than just a single one. Obviously it effects everyone differently but we'll see how it pans out in the future.

Well, the people charging while listening to music must be 0,0000009%. Usually the average person charges once at night.

Not sure but wouldn't an adapter like the one for the Mac, USB C to USB A work on a phone as well? Can't see why not. (how many actually use OTG? Guessing not many people regularly anyway).
If I'm not wrong there are splitters that you can use to have more ports in any case.

This is the way manufacturers are going... they all removed the removable battery in the end and soon all will do away with the 3.5mm jack too so better get used to it!

Me too! Bezels are ergonomic in landscape mode and add character .

I have the S7 Edge and the iPhone 7 Plus with its enormous bezels and when scrolling with one hand I get annoyed sometimes with the S7 Edge; since it has no side bezels at all, my palm touches the screen while holding it and won't let me scroll well.
Also, they have the same screen size but the S7 Edge's screen feels smaller to me because the phone is physically smaller. Might be just me but it's how I perceive the phone.

My Nationwide Gold visa covers me. But the product was discontinued about 6 years ago, so no longer possible to get it now.

The OTG is a non issue as I prefer my airstash or my sandisk wireless stick which is the up-to-date version of it which was a hotukdeal on here months ago. if your BT headphones run out of power or your in a challenging area BT then carrying an adapter is not an issue for me it just goes in my lead pouch which stays in my pocket.

yep - most people prefer seeing photos / paintings etc in a frame rather than frameless

Nephew has the Nokia 3 and it's an amazing piece of kit for the price, which leaves me in little doubt about how this much more highly specced handset will perform. Great deal!

Same. Have more space inside for other things and one less way for water to enter the device

You can make devices smaller/thinner. Plus a socket actually takes up quite a lot of space internally which could be used for other things - like slightly bigger battery.

Most people use Bluetooth headphones these days which is another driving factor
