Nokia 8 Dual sim 4gb ram 64gb - Glossy Copper £233.99 - Toby Deals

£233.99 from Tobydeals today. If you're a first-timer you can get £6 off when creating a new account (code is WELCOME6) bringing it to 227.99 although I would recommend going for the £10 delivery at least (immediate replacement if parcel confirmed lost).

EDIT 19/04/2018 - the price has now gone up to £252.99 (thanks @celticprince@g-diddy ) but still reasonably priced. Some questions around whether they are dual-sim or not. According to clove.co.uk the Nokia 8 UK version is single SIM only and EU versions are dual, but please do your homework before buying if it's critical. I've put the original price back in the header for historical reasons and will post the changed price as a new deal.

Apologies if double post but I searched before posting.

I hope this helps someone.

Fantastic phone for the money, took it off charge yesterday at 7, and still got 52% battery remaining.

I've not used Tobydeals before but have had no trouble with banggood, pandawill and gearbest. I appreciate though that the difference between good and bad is probably less than 5% of orders, and crucially the way they respond when there is any problem. I had one issue with a cheap product from Gearbest and it was replaced (no return requested) quite quickly.

I will report back once I receive the order. Caveat - I don't know if there are 'EU versions' of this phone or not, so I can't comment on which international variant this product is, if any.
Do these come from China? The big gripe I have with these sellers are delivery times (usually over 4weeks) and then if you have to return it will take an absolute age to get a replacement. Not worth the hassle when the likes of carphone warehouse were selling for £275 and tcb.

I have also been pondering the CPW deal.

According to their FAQ:

"How long does it take for the package to arrive after I place my order?

All orders will ship within 24 to 72 working hours. (Saturday and Sunday are excluded). After your item is shipped, please allow us for another 3 – 7 working days for delivery to metro areas."

So I guess an order today should be here by 3rd May at the latest (on FAQ terms) whereas the CPW deal could be with you tomorrow. Effectively, you're paying £40 more for faster delivery and a much simpler returns process, which is not that much when you think about it.
Toby Deals... say goodbye to your hard earned money.

There will be zero warranty on the purchases.

Can you be a little more specific? What was the screen-on time?
I bought the P20 pro recently. Love it, it's great and all but I wish I had picked up one of these and saved a load of money!

Can you clarify please? I believe this is new stock and Nokia's standard warranty to a UK customer is 24 months. nokia.com/en_…/en

It might be subject to an IMEI check but as a UK consumer dealing with an EU company, I'd happily chance my arm on a warranty claim.

Just had a look in the battery app. it says screen usage 1hr 55m - thats alot of mixed usage. Considerably better than my nexus 5x
I have 20% left after 4hrs 5mins screen usage on my Nokia 8. I use my phone heavily and always get at least 1.5/2 days out of full charge

Aren't they based in Hong Kong?

Nokia or Tobydeals? Nokia make the phone, and their warranty states their address as Espoo, Finland.

Please note - I'm not defending Tobydeals as it's my first time using them and might be tempting karma to lose my parcel.

As we had been discussing the warranty, you have the vendor warranty (12 months from Tobydeals) and the manufacturer warranty (Nokia), so I thought I'd check.
When mine needed repair I had to go directly via HMD Global.

Carphone Warehouse if you order by 9pm online it is next day delivery
Deal expired, now £252.99...

Noticed this with a number of retailers recently, when a good deal is posted on here and they notice demand increases, they quickly remove the deal or increase the price.
Thanks for the heads up on the price spike. I'd like your opinions - if the price goes up, should the deal be expired and not edited? I've edited the price but I wonder if maybe this gives the new price some 'undeserved' heat?
Thinking about it, I've expired it and will repost a new deal. No point giving Tobydeals fake heat.
