Does it matter which network the SIM is with in terms of cancelling? I think I'm going to buy this deal.

Vodafone or O2 are the best for this.

O2 generally seem to be easier.

Will Virgin allow it though? (this deal is Virgin)

The £25 one doesn't exclude virgin.
I was looking at the one month simo deal, found the 12 month now

So you can't get CB on the i month simo.
Bargain. Great deal.

Vodafone was easy for me, but having read a lot Of comments on a lot Of threads, I'd recommend o2
If they'd put treble on this with the Oreo update I'd be tempted as it's some serious hardware for the money but I'm not convinced by HMD's promise that it doesn't matter. If they genuinely intended to update it they just would've done Oreo properly to save all the extra work for P.

Interesting that some lists do only mention the Sirocco but that might just be down to poor reporting.
Could this finally be an upgrade for my LG G4 ? Think it needs to be £250 or lower for me though.
O2 were a pain for me, gave me my actual termination date on the call to cancel but never terminated it so I had to pester them, I used the sim for a full month so was happy to pay 1 month to guarantee the tcb, in the end got the first month refund anyway for messing me about, I know I could have cancelled on day one under cooling off but didn't want to risk tcb not paying my£50

Was hardly worth it in the end

But can you do it with Virgin? Presumably they all have a 30 day cooling off period?
Why no detail about the phone in the deal listing?
Nokia make quite a few and the listing doesn't even give the screen size!

14 day, and yes I suppose you could, but why virgin, when you are cancelling the deal anyway, and it's been proved to work with either Vodafone or O2.

So the majority should look for details because you haven't bothered to put them in the OP.
That's a waste of our collective time.

If you cancel within the first 14 days, then your sim only deal could cost £1,000. But you wouldn't be paying it anyway, so just go with the network that is easier to deal with.

The majority already know what the different phones specs are and would hopefully have researched all the different options out there.
If you are going to buy the first phone that goes over 100 degrees on here (there are hundreds every month) then your brain is a

Virgin is £8 a month with a £280 phone.
The others start from £310 for the phone.

Oh, sorry about that, then you will have to chance your arm with virgin.
Let us know how you get on, as I've never spoken to one person that has done this "trick" with virgin.

You say trick but it's basically the old O2 Refresh deal which has been going on for years.

Yes it basically is.
But, this is probably a "loophole" which will probably be closed at some point.

I'm not arguing with you, I like your deal, I encourage these deals, stop with the blabber and just do it.

Just as a note, the o2 ones you now have to call cpw to cancel not o2. I have done 3 o2 ones and only the one last week I had to call cpw to cancel. Had no issues cancelling though.
Get another 3% back at Carphone Warehouse via Amex offers until Jun 6. So approx £9 saved.

Interesting, I wonder if its the same with Virgin...
I have this phone - it's amazing. Currently has Oreo 8.1 and there is a big update for the camera coming out. However I never had any issues with the camera before.
Been thinking about the 8 for a while now. My wife got the 5 a week ago and it's a cracking phone. Lovely looking phone. So tempted now to go Nokia 8
What about sim lock? Do they still coming with sim locks or that has been scrapped off? Sorry it has been a while since I had contract phone...

All phones from CPW come unlocked, including iPhones.
I bought this just before it was posted and can confirm cancellation with Virgin is very easy.

Unfortunately I found that out as soon as I was actually able to log into my account. (You are asked for a security question answer when it's not set up and there is no security question - then asked for a password "don't worry the passwords is the same as the security answer you set up").

I was going to keep the Virgin contact but it turned out instead of 3GB data to be just 1GB.
