Here's your chance to get a 2017 flagship specification phone for under £275 price, admittedly this is a refurbished phone, but states it is in "A1 Pristine Condition"

The phone boasts the same SD835 processor as most flagships last year, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, dual 16MP rear cameras, with a 1440p 5.3 Super LED screen.

It is not the most exciting of flapship phones and as many reviews says, it doesn't really have a unique selling point, but is a excellent all rounder.

Also to have in it's favour is the stock Android software experience many people like, and the new Nokia owners HMD seem to be doing a good job to keep their devices up to date, with Andoid 8 (Oreo) recently being released for the phone.

You can save a further £10 off the price if you sign up to a £1 trial of Which Magazine through the website and TopCashBack are offering 2.02% cashback, meaning you can bring the price down to around £255!

Other point to note, it states no other accessories are included in the box and that might mean no charger too.

Voted hot and bought, I couldn't care less about warranty, I can't remember the last time a phone broke on me, I couldn't care less about getting accessories, I can buy them off ebay for pennies, well done op, great spot, been looking for one of these for a good while, also got 2% cashback at topcashback, so happy days, when this was in stock at cex for a similar price a couple months ago people were all over it. People are strange. People are very strange.

Plus they have loads of stores so you can order online and return to a store if you change your mind.

Only 90 day warranty, FYI

Warranties aren't worth the paper they they are written on, regardless if a 90 day, 6 month or 1 year warranty...

If you buy from a UK retailer, they are obliged under UK consumer law to offer products that are:
- Of satisfactory quality and as described.
- Fit for purpose and last reasonable length of time.

I'd like to see a retailer say they consider 90 days a reasonable period for a product to last, in the small claims court!

Also if you buy with credit card you're protected by consumer credit act, and ultimately the bank is responsible if the retailer don't play ball. Doesn't mean you need to get in debt, pay off your balance the following month, and you still get the full protection of paying by credit card.

But I suppose a refurbished device doesn't qualify as a new device, so doesn't get a full warranty support, as with Amazon Warehouse deals.
If you need a repair, and the argument drags out, you'd be a long time without your phone, fixed or not. Not worth the hassle personally.

That's pretty standard with most refurbished items, and lots of refurbished items get posted on here, including the LG V30 for over £400 from the retailer. No one is mentioning or worrying about this in those posts...

So unsure why all the scepticism right now.

So is a refurb normally £499 or are you unfairly comparing this to a new phone to make the the saving look impressive?
If the copper colour on the Nokia 8 is anything like that of the copper Nokia 5, you'll be disappointed. Its nowhere near the orangey vibrant copper you're led to believe by the photos, it's more of a very light salmon, rose goldey colour. I was gutted with the colour.
Great phone but I would wait 4-6 weeks when I believe that you will be be able to pick one of these up new for around 200 bones. MWC 2018 is at the end of Feb.

Calm down
I have this phone. If the camera means anything to you don't bother, otherwise it's a decent phone.

I went for it because it was cheap. Now it's going to cost me to sell up and buy a phone with a half decent camera.

If you have children or pets, this phone will not be able to take photos of them.

If you have a large taxidermy collection which you enjoy taking photos of, this phone will serve your needs perfectly.

It's poor using the Nokia camera app, some people say to download the Google Pixel camera .apk and use that instead and it's better.
This seems like a fantastic amount of phone for the money, ive been researching it some.
im looking to upgrade a now showing its age s6 and this is great for its price.

apparently camera isnt great even with two lenses and its not water proof or wireless charging other than that it can nearly keep up with an s8 by all accounts

descisions......

Sent ours back next day. We read loads of reviews praising the camera, nearly as good as the S8 ect ect. The camera was poor in indoor light (energy saving bulbs). Our Moto G4 plus and Samsung Galaxy S7 performed lots better. I theorised the Nokia 8's aperture and smaller pixels on sensor are to blame. We wanted a phone that can take good pics as we use ours all the time, and in poor light or indoors found the Nokia 8 utter pants.
Camera is awful. Bought one for my girlfriend after reading lots of reviews and watching lots of YouTube reviews, as I wanted a camera good enough to take photos of our babies. Unfortunately it really is awful, can take upto ten seconds to take a shot sometimes and constantly come out blurry. Rubbish.

Unfortunately after spending £380 I can't afford to buy her anything else now.... So that's thoroughly frustrating and depressing!!!

I wish we had spoken before Christmas...I'm in the same boat as you!

So frustrated with it. Lost 6 weeks of memories with our 8 and 23 month kiddies now and can't afford anything decent after spending £390 on this Nokia 8 crap!

How is the camera *that* bad when it’s marketed as a camera phone (I mean the stupidly-named ‘Bothie’ function), got some Carl Zeiss magic in it and Nokia used to have the best cameras. I just don’t understand how they’ve produced such a poor device on that front

It's equally poor using the Google pixel camera. It's a bit quicker but the photos are no better.

In my opinion the camera really is "that bad" every time I get it out to take a quick snap, I get 4 or 5 blurred images and then give up, it takes 3-5 seconds between pressing the button and taking a photo. The camera app gives no control.

Head over to the Nokia website and read the support forums, there are a lot of people hoping this is a software issue and asking for a fix.

Nice phone.
Imo the camera issues are greatly overrated. This is probably the worst photo I have taken with this phone but it is still perfectly usable cause I'm not a professional photographer

Here are some much better pictures taken with the camera

I think you need more pets
I've had this phone for a month now. The camera is actually really impressive, however the issues people have mentioned with it stem from the temperamental autofocus. As long as you have patience to help it recognise what do you want to focus on, it takes brilliant pictures. I'm overall really happy with it.
I've had no issues at all with the camera tbh.. It takes great pics

No idea how you've managed to get more than one decent photo.
You are very lucky.
Me and partner are literally devastated by the poor camera.
We have spent all our spare money on this phone, and cannot afford to buy another until May or June - which will be 5 to 6 months of memories from our babies that we will never get back.
Just because you seem to have a better result don't assume this will be for everyone.....the camera really is awful and we truly do feel sick to the back teeth at the thought of it.
What a waste!

I'll ask my baby to hold still whilst crawling for the first time, or smiling etc..... Not realistic in lots of circumstances I'm afraid.

And then there's the separate point of poor low light performance.
How depressing.

Avoid if you want to take a photo of an object which might move, even slowly.
Does anyone else have issues with the screen when the device is in charge? I think it's called ghosting. What I'll scroll but instead of it being responsive as normal it'll scroll inconsistently with me and click on stuff even though I haven't clicked. It's ridiculously frustrating to the point where the phone is barely useable whilst in charge
Just took receipt of this now, the phone is like new, I also got the Nokia 8 box with all new accessories, the phone is basically new, thanks again op, and this deserves every bit of that 354 degree heat
