Not a bad price, very cheap new price, in fact probably the cheapest ever.

3255051.jpgStill one of the best phones I've ever had the pleasure to look, hold and feel, it really was designed for beauty this thing imo.

Nokia has, with the Nokia 8 Sirocco created a robust phone, which they say is unbendable. Having been carved out of a single piece of stainless steel, machined for hours into a solid, yet uniquely slim and compact shape. With this strength, it is a phone you can depend on.

It has a design which features 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for a stunning look, which is captivating and robust. With an improved specification to exceed even the most demanding requirements. Including 6G RAM, 128GB internal storage and the latest version of Android Oreo in its pure form.

The Pro Camera mode is back! Once again you can have full control over your photography. Adjust every aspect of your photo in detail.

If this had an apple logo at the back, would be worth 1000+

beautifully crafted phone and just the right size, no bloating and great battery life

Yup, possibly one of the best looking phones I've ever seen, well apart from my all time favourite the htc one M7, now that was a thing of beauty when I first saw it

Yeah, it wasn't without its faults, but the smaller design, coupled with wireless charging, ip67 etc make this a decent buy, and one of the last to sport that 16:9 ratio some people still like.

I didn't keep it long enough, but apparently very good, though only a 3260mAh? Something along this lines anyhow.
Any idea as to how long this phone would be supported? Will it get Q update?

At a guess yes, it launched with 8 1, and is android one, so I'd say at least Q
Flagship phone, carton of chips money!!

Even better than my Nokia 8800 of the same naming convention, the panel in this, is also in a very popular other flagship phone and the "reviews" about green/blue hew, were for a very small batch of them, similar to the Pixel panels, that were not furnished to the right seal heat, this is covered by any issues, as Clove will just accept it back anyway, not that I have ever heard of them having dodgy stock with the issue, even at launch when it was £600!
Excellent phone this. Good clean bloat free version of Android and a very handsome phone. It is a bit slippery to hold but a Spigen case sorted that.

Didn't know supermodels allowed third parties to hold/feel them, unless fees paid/lifestyles bankrolled

Same rant...different phone.
Good find OP - 1 year ago this was a flagship, now just a midranger, albeit one of the best
Great deal mate. Really wanted his about 6 months ago, too late now though.
The best phone I've ever had and I've has a lot, starting from Motorola 1kg brick, through Siemens S6, Nokia 5110, Ericsson r380, Blackberry, Samsung S series and many many others... Beautiful, fast and just right in my hand. I don't care about the blue hue and I can't see it anyway.
3.5% cashback (7 or 8 £)
would love to see this in the flesh but never have.
wanted to get this but had no reason to upgrade to this over my Nokia 8 as it's technically not much of an upgrade & certainly not enough for the additional price at least.
Anyone know how good the camera is in real life? How would it compare to my Pixel 2 XL for example? (Please, thank you! 😁)
Rocco ???
I have one of these and I love it. Quick and responsive, lovely looking, well built, decent camera.
There are a couple of negatives to be aware of...I get random restarts every few days, and it seems other users experience the same. There's no removable storage beyond the 128gb on board. The blue hue is noticeable when tilting the display, but I've got used to it.

I was thinking of getting one for my mum who's after a new phone, but I think she'd be put off by the weight as it is quite heavy... Personally I like the feel of it in my hand.... Plus it's a bit over-specced for her needs.

But yeah, brilliant deal MrSwitch! What in your opinion is the best sub-£200 phone at the moment, if you'd be so kind?

Does this help? gsmarena.com/pic…720 (probably best viewed on desktop I think

Just scroll around to look at the picture details on the back of the (old) tenner for example.

On the right, it's the Nokia 8 Sirocco, 2nd one down is the Pixel 2 (I included this as it has similar ISO settings to the Nokia 8 Sirocco sample, but do ignore this sample if you are not into photography like I do) and the bottom sample is the Pixel 2XL.

To me, both the pixel phones do produce better details it seems, you are able to see the much finder lines on the Pixel samples. But then to be honest not many people will zoom in like this.

HEAT added OP.
Lovely blower!
I loved my Nokia 5110 lead bar in the 90s, 31 33 series in't Noughties & 10s but moved onto Samsung S's about 10 or more years ago.
I was chatting to a bloke at Virgin Mobile a go if few years ago about my N95 and he believed it was probably the first Smartphone per se.
Currently on a Samsung A5.
Cheap as chips & good enough for me.
Screen seems ok especially with my failing eyesight so no real need to go for a better display etc.
Amazing price. Do I finally bite and replace my much loved S7 edge??
jp-supra29/06/2019 19:14

I've got this phone. 2 days battery life easily, sometimes I even get 3 days out of it. It's not just about the size of the battery, it runs Android one, that's why.

This one smaller, better software and monthly updates (till 2021), more luxury features, more storage; Mi 8 bit faster, 3D face unlock, dual sim

Usually a couple of years. Usually buy my phones second hand from Facebook etc so had this edge just over two years.

Thanks @tcyjohnny - the links and message are both most helpful. Like you, I am quite critical and demanding of a smartphone camera - so seeing the comparison - I'll stick with the Pixel 2 XL for the moment.(goes to show how good the Google post processing is )

Thanks again for the help - that gsmarena link is super useful!

Nokia UI very simple/streamlined, similar to Motorola, you might miss feature-packed Samsung customisation options, along with some superb music quality /video recording stabilization etc (though you get great audio recording capabilities in return)

Before the iPhone, the Nokia sirocco was one of the most expensive!
The original sirocco Nokia's were way overpriced. Guess they've changed since then!
