Oh the bezel haters are here now. Where were you guys a few months back?

I would happily pay a lot less for a little more bezel.

This is an excellent phone. And at this price a no brainer unless you are one of those stupid people whose identity is defined by the latest bezelless phone in their hands.

Also camera is quite decent. Ofcourse it is not a Pixel but its nearly £200 less. So damn HOT

Oh and yeah the Pixel also has huge bezels but no one complains right coz it is damn more expensive. Stupid people always want the more expensive phones and look cool, aint it 🤣

Camera is excellent.
Especially since android 8/Oreo update.
This year's best value mobile?
It's good value. But feels under-developed software wise compared to other flagships. You do sort of get what you pay for.
Camera is good quality but again not quite flagship grade imo. Especially focusing lags behind competition.
Not a bad phone. But I'd sooner go for last gen Samsung
This or Huawei P10, Honor 9 or LG G6?
I'm guessing this is a snapdragon 8xx, so the amazing pixel camera app can be installed to significantly boost camera quality?

Good price. But I prefer the LG G6. Had the G5 and love the wide angle option on camera. And small bezel.
Had one of these for a few weeks but ended up returning it and getting a OP5T, far better in every aspect and I don't think I can live life without dash charge anymore.

Very good price for this phone however, hot!

Not quite every aspect. HD streams from Netflix etc is essential for me so 480 streams just won't do. Other than that though you are right it's a great phone. Worth the price difference though. I'm not sure. This has great build quality.

Apparently the phone has a great antenna for call quality plus i always thought perceived better contrast was with the help of a black border. If this has no border then you lose that.

You're trying to use logic to argue with someone that thinks bezels are bad because of fashion shite or the other. That person probably wouldn't even understand that an antenna is needed to get a signal...

There's a fix on the way from OnePlus to get the HD streams sorted out soon. I honestly didn't know the whole time I had my 3T that Netflix wasn't HD, the quality was still so good, always thought it was HD haha

That's odd considering my brother has just got the 5t and he can tell on that. No official statement as yet though about it aswell which is worrying. Still a great phone though.

Ive losing faith in humanity. People using phones as a fashion statement above functionality. I give up

I hope placebo doesn't kick in with me and I start noticing it, but I think OnePlus are definitely aware and working on it, this is from TechRadar:
"The good news is that OnePlus is aware, and a fix is on its way.
A OnePlus spokesperson told us "we are currently implementing the Widevine level 1 DRM", which means you should be able to take advantage of the phone's full HD display when streaming from your favorite service.
There's currently no date for the software update with the fix to land, with OnePlus simply saying "we're working on it" when pushed on a release timeframe.
It's worth noting that YouTube is unaffected, which means your glorious HD cat videos remain... well... glorious. Phew."

Oh they've been doing that for years. I'm not sure half of them even know that a phone can do more than selfies and Snapchat.

Like i said though they have been aware since the 3 and no official date for the fix. It's not a deal breaker for the phone but does question why you would part such amount of money without the phone having this fundamental flaw not allowing you to maximise the beauty of the screen. Seems odd
Don't all phone pretty much look the same anyway? They're all rectangles with a screen.

So alot of what i'm about to mention will be down to personal preference, but here goes! (Bare in mind, I went from OP3T to Nokia 8 to OP5T)
- Size: I like bigger phones, the OP5T has a slightly bigger footprint, but more importantly, the screen is A LOT bigger in my opinion which I absolutely love.
- Screen: Screen is so much more crisp, vibrant, and just looks a lot better than the Nokia 8, it also gets A LOT more brighter so when you're outside even with the sun shining down on you, you can still clearly see the screen, in every review I've watched for the OP5T, everyone has mentioned the screen is fantastic.
- OS: Since I'm coming from a OP3T, I actually love OxygenOS, it's pretty much stock Android but has very good/handy tweaks, you can change around the notification bar and remove icons you don't need, you can set up screen gestures when the phone screen is off etc and these options are all included in the phone, no need to load up your phone with third party apps just to get these features.
- Speed: Definitely a lot snappier than the Nokia 8, speed wise it competes against the iPhone X and Note 8, so that's a no brainer.
- Dash Charge: Honestly can't live without, can not remember the last time I charged my phone at night while sleeping, now I let the battery get close to zero throughout the day, and charge in the mornings while getting ready for work, game changer, especially having the official car dash charger from OP too, 30 minutes gets me 65% of juice!

There's a lot more other reasons too, but just noticed I've already wrote way too much lol
A few things I'll miss from the Nokia 8 are the expandable storage, the fact that it still has front facing buttons off-screen (always preferred that to having on screen nav buttons) but I didn't like the fact that Nokia didn't do a full black version of the phone, I love all black phones, so went back with the 5T.

Hope this helps, not saying N8 is a bad phone, I just personally prefer the 5T

Thanks for your explaining your preference. Much appreciated
Just bought a OnePlus 5T using a student discount for £404.
The 128 GB/6GB ram model at cpw looks decent for £419 minus £10 TCB.
At John Lewis £399 95
