They had it add to basket for free last time I looked at getting one about 1 week a go.

Thanks

I got one on Refresh yesterday - it had the free gift on the page but it hasn't arrived with the phone. According to Chat you apparently have to claim it from Nokia which the page did not even mention unless I missed it? You claim it from nokia1020grip.co.uk/

Anyway, better to get on Refresh and cancel - 24 months x £6, £144 - go through Quidco and there is a remote chance that will pay out (but not guaranteed). For Refresh, take out the contract, receive phone, get unlock code then phone to pay off phone plan and cancel airtime.

Lot of phone for the money whether £144 or £169.

If you try to order the black phone you will almost certainly be disappointed....
O2's stock system is all over the place with that phone. My dad ordered it, and has been waiting 2 weeks for Nokia to fulfill the back order request from O2. So there is essentially a queue of people waiting to get the 1020 in black ahead of *you* should you choose to order that phone. The 1020 in yellow has been in stock continuously for the last 2 weeks...

A hell of a lot of phone for the money. I love mine -- easily the best phone I have ever owned (and once you know what you are doing with the camera, it can take some breath taking photos!)

As above no black in stock don't know what you are looking at ? Yellow always instock.

I just placed a Refresh order for the yellow phone. I've had enough of playing Russian roulette with the O2 stock system....
My dad's retention deal will hopefully go through for the black 1020....but if it doesn't, I will at least have bagged a yellow 1020 for him to have (just have to shroud it in a black case!).
If he gets his black 1020, I'll just sell this yellow one along with the camera grip and headphones. Should make a £40 or so profit with a bit of luck.

*Edit! Turns out these 1020's are still selling for upwards of £215...

If you do end up selling one via eBay, take out and be totally sure you are fully covered by a delivery insurance policy. Be protected so you do not get scammed by a buyer trying it on. Worth making notes of the IMEI number too before sending it.

Can you not switch the order from a black phone to a yellow one for your Dad? Or do O2 require the order is cancelled and a new one is placed? Have you tried speaking to a manager at O2 to see if they will transfer the retention deal to a new order? Seeing as they do not appear to be able to fulfill the existing order?

Oooooh....kinda getting sick of my 520 ... and I do love the wp8.1 OS.

No. Don't give out your IMEI number. It can be cloned to a stolen device. They could also request the free camera grip from Nokia.
There is no need to give out IMEI numbers. Ebay's buyer protection ensures the sales are safe - so the person at the other end does not need such info

The order would need to be cancelled and placed again. Live Chat have been useless - phone chat (202) has been great.
Oh and don't worry, I have sold multiple 1020's. All are owned outright by me, all are sent via Special Deliver insured to £500, and all are photographer for their IMEI numbers (oh, and I don't sell to people with low feedback scores).

At least help via 202 has been useful.

It seems you are clued up to selling on eBay Didn't want you and other hukd members to get scammed because they saved a couple of pounds and didn't opt for courier/postal insurance to cover the cost of the item.

Yellow phone looks fine in a flip case. Only the yellow at the top, bottom and around the buttons shows. I actually quite like the colour as I have probably got used to it. Contrasts rather well in the black flip case I am using. In any case the contents on the screen gets my attention

I was actually lent a yellow Lumia 1020 by the Trial a Nokia team. I liked it for the 7 months or so I had it --- but the black has a nicer matte finish, and just looks classy when used without a case. Also, a phone for a businessman really should be black :).

& yes, I know about the pitfalls of Ebay. I only ever send phones via Royal Mail Special Delivery. The automatic £500 of insurance is well worth the price of entry. & it is by far the best delivery service out there too at what is a pretty reasonable price.

Hi, are these able to be unlocked easily? I tried to buy one the other week but O2 said that they wouldn't unlock for 12 months. Can they be unlocked by 3rd parties?

If you know someone with an O2 contract they can do it for you. Anyone with an O2 contract can unlock one phone per month.

Haha....I unlocked 50x Nokia 100 pay as you go phones in the space of 5 days using just one O2 account
(The phones cost £5 from O2, with Quidco cashback of £5 meaning they were essentially free. The unlock codes came through over the course of 24 or so hours. The phones are now in the hands of medical staff at a hospital in West Africa. A nice/unintentional charitable gift from O2 )

i had two ordered. today they cancelled both. NOT HAPPY!!!

Which colour & when ?

Black. Not PAYG. They were in stock when I ordered, the upgrade fee was taken from my account, for two weeks the order was 'in progress', today they cancelled the order. 'out of stock'. Dreadful service. Will be terminating my contracts. Very, very miffed!!

Been in to O2 today, apparently the stores have been asked to send back all their stock - presumably to meet online orders.

Saying out of stock.

I had a strange situation today. I signed in to my O2 account to see what was happening with the yellow 1020 I ordered last night...
There was no sign of the order, and a quick conversation on live chat told me that the order had been cancelled due to an unknown error....

Then, 45 minutes later, I receive an email from O2 saying the phone has been dispatched!

So as things stand, there is no record that I have a contract with O2....yet I am likely to receive a phone tomorrow! Free phone? :). Or more than likely, just another no show from the O2 delivery guys!

Damn I missed this deal, I been waiting to get one off eBay for 150 but would have bought this brand new from O2 for an extra £20. Just want it for the camera

This is the text I got today for the order I placed on the 27th November:

O2: We are sorry, the handset you ordered is no longer available. We have cancelled your order, please go to o2.co.uk/shop see our other products or call us direct on 0844 809 0202

Time wasters.

My dad's order is still 'progressing'. I also spoke with a very helpful woman on 202 yesterday who told me that the 1020 was on back order with Nokia, and that my dad's order would likely be one of those that would be fulfilled.
I just hope O2 send me a 1020 tomorrow as an insurance against them not fulfilling my dad's order.

Either way, O2's stock system is an absolute disaster!

I have the 64gb yellow 02 one and it does what it says but miss having a galaxy note, also the speech from my end during conversations is a nightmare, people always complain it goes low and muffled, my end hearing is perfect.
These are either stopped or about to be stopped being made so be quick if you want one.

fantastic phone I got mine on Black Friday in store, great camera, and lighter than the 920 which I sold on fleebay.
Got it unlocked too, as I took on a sim only deal for one month... The grip and earphones arrived the other day too, although the latter is no match for a decent pair of earphones as the sound is very tinny
