I see these are FBA, rather than sold by Amazon themselves (at any price). Are they discontinued or about to be so? Ta.

They aren't discontinued that I can see but might be soon when MS finally launch WP10. Having said that, the 1320 is upgradeable to WP10 anyway.

My OH has one of these and it's a great piece of kit.

I bought mine when on offer at Argos for £180 and thought that was a great deal. At this price, I might get a spare. The nearest to it in the latest Lumia range is the 640XL but that's not quite as large at 5.7inches. I'm not sure if that's 1080P though, like the 1320.

The build quality is great and if you like WP then you'll love it. I'm not sure what Android phone could be had that would come close for this price.

1320 is not 1080p, but 720p. Great bettery life.

The 1320 is also 720p, so the screen on the 640 XL will be slightly sharper. The only 1080p Lumia's are the 1520 and 930.

I would go for the 640 XL over the 1320 (if you can get it at around this price, and aren't put off by the slightly smaller screen). The cameras are significantly better, the 1320 uses the same 5MP sensor as the Lumia 520, so it's camera isn't great, whereas the 640 XL uses a newer and larger 13MP sensor. The 640 XL is also significantly lighter (170g vs 220g).

Is this the UK version?

8gb storage, 1gb ram, dual core processor? oO

I have a 735 I really like using. The camera in particular is brilliant. Sadly, no TomTom app for Windows phones yet so I have to keep an old iPhone 4 in the car just for satnav. The Here+ app had some updates earlier in the year and just crashes all the time.

Try it again, they've recently updated it and it runs perfectly on my 930!,great find, heat added and may well indulge myself!

Try reinstalling Here Drive, I've never had any trouble and personally I think it's one of the best apps there is.

Still waiting for a stock clearance of 1020s, or are they still in demand?:(

Had a Windows Phone once upon a time, so far behind Android in terms of features, it did look pretty though.

I have the 830 and find it great! Here+ works really well on mine, not that I use it so much now I'm retired. Camera is superb and I take loads of photos of my grandchildren and upload to my Facebook page. I know nothing about iPhones but I'm more than happy with my Windows mobile. Does everything I need.

Probably will be discontinued as they are under Nokia brand. All current Lumias are made under the Microsoft brand.

The "Here" maps are a great alternative, fully offline too which is handy when you go abroad.

I use a 735 - Here maps/drive work fine for various countries I have downloaded. Just uninstall, reinstall, make sure you download maps to a microSD card as they are data-heavy.

I would love MS to use a proper number system so I don't have to do lots of research to find out which ones are newer or better spec

For windows phones you need to break down the numbering into two bit. The last two digits first and then the first one or two digits. The last two shows the generation (chronological). They went from 00, 20, 25, 30, 35 and now 40 (I may have missed out some iteration, I am not sure). They tend to come out at similar times, not always but most times. The first digits are about specification (including size of screen, the material used etc.). Usually the higher the number the more premium it gets. So you have currently 435, 535, 630, 635, 640, 730, 735, 830, 930, 1020, 1320, 1520 etc. (this is not a comprehensive list, just a flavour of what is out there).

Hope this makes some sense.

Always used HereDrive with my Windows phone (actually kept it as a spare just for that as I have now switched back to Android). Maps are updated regularly, it can be used offline (no traffic info) and it is pretty spot on, used it earlier in Florida and took me everywhere i needed to go without a glitch

But Microsoft's inability to name a product sensibly (my email is Microsoft Hotmail Windows Live Office 365 Mail) is part of their charm.

Is this better then the 930?

No

From looking at the review on GSM it looks like this Lumia has not changed the font size when trying to read a contacts phone number/mail address.
Hundreds of comments on the Nokia site when I owned a L 800 about the tiny font (in light blue/black background) being really hard to read and so many asking for Nokia to cure this in an update ................. never happened.

How do I store the maps in SD card?
I recently got a 630 with W8.1 and the facility to download maps to SD card doesn't appear to be there!
Doing a bit of research, there used to be a Nokia beta app that allowed this but it was removed from the windows store apparently!
So, question is, how to download Here maps to microSD?
Anyone know? Would love to do this as got plenty of free space on my 64GB card, not so much on my phone! Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I posted a link, it went into a mod queue never to be seen again. Yes, you can put them on microSD, just google it (or more aptly, Bing it....!!!)

Hi, I bing'd it and came up with Lumia Storage Checker Beta, but this app is no longer available for download from the Windows App Store.
Further research shows that even if I download the app file from somewhere else, the phone will not install it!
If you know another way of getting maps on my Lumia's SD card, I'd love to know about it!

Good gag, but I'd take the Windows ecosystem over Android any day were it not for the app situation. The Facebook one looks like it was produced five years ago.

No problems, we're all human... Just wish Microsoft would listen to its customers and provide that option again, especially with the fast SD cards you can get nowadays. Methinks there may be an ulterior motive for removing the facility... Perhaps moving away from Here maps to Bing maps?
