Good price. Hot.
Nice! Got it for about £90, PAYG upgrade, 2 and a half months ago.

its a really hot deal basically but its an upgrade price, which means it should be reflected in the title and its not for everyone

I agree - should say FROM £79.95.
I don't own this phone but I've used it in a carphone warehouse and it's surprisingly fast. Heat from me.
Posting now from one - I like it.

Good deal.
Dreadful OS.
I bought one for £89 a couple of months ago and its a brilliant phone.

Not dreadful OS. Feels better than Android/iOS.
Bought one couple of days ago for £100 + £10 topup (didn't have a qualifying SIM for upgrade price) and it is absolutely brilliant. The OS is fast and snappy and the phone feels brilliant. All the core apps I ever need are on there and I'm fully converted to Windows Phone 8. Won't be long until the Nokia Amber update which will improve the camera, add FM radio + bluetooth 4.0 as well as the Windows Phone 8 update (GDR2) which will bring a notification centre. Unbelievable value for money!
In reply to the comment above. GDR2 is not bringing the notification centre.

The notification centre is planned for the windows phone blue 8.1 update in early to mid 2014.

Yeah it's a very nice slick OS, has enough capability to satisfy the average smartphone user. The windows store is a joke though, the implementation is horrible.

Do you actually like anything regarding mobile phones? All I see is complaining about stuff, maybe you should grab a few books, learn some code, and start developing your own OS.

I own and use Windows, OSX, iOS and Android, and although a little spare I found windows mobile to be very fast, and more reliable than my Nexus 4. Can't believe I'm saying this, but my Lumia 710 is more reliable than my Nexus 4 in some ways...

No.
This may be a stupid question, but can I go instore and give them my GiffGaff number and qualify for the upgade as it's been active for over 6 months?
Very misleading title

Don't see why not
Any thoughts on this phone compared to the Huawei-Ascend-Y300?

I'm 99.9% certain that Giffgaff and Ovivo won't qualify for this deal.
Cold for the misleading title

This phone runs WP8 and the Huawei runs Android 4.1 Jellybean. I haven't used either phone, but I've used both systems and I would strongly imagine that the Nokia would run a lot smoother than the Huawei. The next problem is WP8 versus Android and that's a complex issue that will easily start a small nuclear war on this forum.

I bought the Huawei which I am now typing from. And for the price I'm over the moon. Install nova launcher and it's as close to stock android you can get. Disable a few of the Huawei apps and I haven't encountered any ram issues.

ie. Smoothness is fine..

Runs perfectly with key apps such as WhatsApp etc. Can't complain

Bargain for the price...
Now someone compare that to this Nokia ;-)
I can confirm that GiffGaff sims will not qualify

Except for Three, no upgrades offered at all when I checked in store yesterday.
I also used the CPW online checker for a working, but hardly used, PAYG Vodafone sim yesterday, and that was rejected. To check if a sim is acceptable for online purchase, (and presumably store purchase), you have to start the ordering process with the sim working in a phone, enter the phone number on the website, and a code is sent to the phone to proceed, you then enter that code, along with the long number on the sim card, and the details are checked for acceptance, my Vodafone sim was declined at this step.
To check which network sim cards are acceptable, click here CPW PAYG Upgrades

How upgrade is actually work ? I understand that I will need to get PAYG sim card.
Could it be any PAYG sim card ? For instance the one that I can easily get it for free from Lebara, Lycra or even major UK nobile network such as O2 ?

Also what I will nee with this sim card ? Do I need to bring it to CPW and hand over the sim card ?

thanks

Who ain't.
Superb phone, my daughter (14) is very happy after moving from an iPhone 3Gs, the apps work quickly unlike Facebook on iOS which is a train wreck...

That's true. Budget android phones are terrible and slow as a snail. Plus the lack of ram means they have out of date firmware and can't be updated
I have an old Orange sim laying around (micro sim). I've never used it though - would it still be usable for this deal?
