Good deal. Price does fluctuate though. I got this for £59.99 just over a month ago, then it went up to £99.99 again.

Meh...... Was £59 like above before and not £69. Sim free with NO TOP UP. On amazon.... Do you really need this phone? .....like Many will say. Moto g. For £90. Vs this for £80/70.....

Me too £59 but still a good phone for money but there's no flash on camera so be aware of this

agreed moto g is the one to go for especially with
the number of android users around using stock jellybean
or jellybean with add ons from Samsung sony ect
pumped up android " if you like " as a description
on phones and tablets
not voting either way as it is a technology post ta op

if you go to the site its 59.99 again, ow only 69.99 for O2 upgrades.

Where can you get the Moto G from for £90. Looking to get this

brilliant mobile for the money and its not apple or android which is a bonus ; )

Clearly the best phone for this price and anything within £30 of it. Hot.

The Moto G is a good phone, but it's Android and at a price point not directly comparable to the 520, closer to the 620 which gives it a lot closer run for the money. Even the 520 will be more responsive than the Moto G over time as it clutters; WP8 is in my opinion way ahead of other OS types. I've had various phones over the last 3 years - BB Curve, Galaxy S3, iPhone 4, Nokia 925 and the Nokia is much nicer to use day to day than any of them. I just got my wife a brand new Lumia 620 from eBay for £70 and even that absolutely knocks spots off the iPhone I had despite costing about one fifth of the price.
Personally I would currently go for any Windows Phone over any comparably-priced other phone. I you especially like Android phones or spend all day downloading stupid apps that you use once, chuckle and never use again then Android is probably for you and buy a Moto G. If you want a phone that works intuitively, puts communication with people first and has a fast, fluid, customisable interface then buy a Windows Phone.
This price is great for this phone.

The 520 gets more responsive as it clutters, thank fsck for that as it's very slow compared to the moto g to start with!

Having had both, the moto g is a pleasure to use, the 520 isn't.

Moto G after 3 month and nearly full of apps, still flies along.

So if just wanting the handset, select the UPGRADES tab, pick any network ( as the phone is unlocked ) and then continue with purchase (£59.95) and put any sim in??

Also, once a sim is loaded, does that lock the handset to that particular network?

Thanks.

you can only get the upgrade price if you qualify.
ie: if you select orange you will have to already have an active payg orange sim that has been topped up within the last 6 months.

different t & c's apply for each network, read at here :

I got this phone for my dad before Xmas for £59.99 at cpw, cracking price for the phone, but that's it top price point I think. £69 is a bit much, they were selling for £89 last week.

I tried a nokia 820 off eBay, nice phone, but wouldn't swap for my 4s, and before people say I'm a fanboy, I wanted to love the phone, but it's just not that polished yet. The app situation is a slight problem, all the mainstream apps are there, but they're clunky, give it 18 months and I'll give it a go for sure. Heat.

Damn - got one instore for £79 2 weeks ago. Can I go back for a refund and then buy it again for £20 less ?
Great phone BTW.

What is the minimum top up though?

Im still on the Lumia 710 and its still going great (bought in a similar cpw upgrade deal 2 years ago). These have everything you need really though I wish I could play ingress and GTA san andreas, I think my next phone will be android for this reason, but for most people that just want facebook, whatsapp, sat nav etc then you really cant beat the solid little WP8 phones.

And if your a lightish user just stick an ovivo 0 per month sim in it, its funny when my mates iPhones have run out of credit and my little lumia with ovivo saves the day.

You can't. Moto G fanboys just making things up to show their brand loyalty! Can't post a phone deal on here without comparisons to Nexus 4/Moto G anymore lol

Has a few quirks but very chuffed with my Lumia 520 for the £60 + £10 deal just before christmas

Like the OS and I find it more slick than Android

Last charged this phone three days ago (to 90%) it's showing 40% now, and I have made a fair few calls, read news over WIFI etc. That seems decent for a smartphone!

The speaker is LOUD and clear (if you don't cover the speaker hole!) I find it quite usable as a radio for the bathroom when showering.

Pic quality is OK with sufficient light (there's no flash). Nokia camera app is great. Video quality is very good.

Screen is an IPS type, same as the ipod 5s. HAVen't found the fewer pixels a concern HD movies look great on it.

Sat Nav is great very impressed with that and can work offline (just GPS) too.

Apps you need are mostly there and there's a few treats, like Fresh Paint, Office, Photosynth,.. otherwise the market is a bit spotty. Next year will be make or break time Microsoft are chucking loads of money at devs for this and pumping the WinPhone, and recent figures show its market share has doubled. It's more popular that IOS in Italy so it must be quite fashionable.

The biggest downer on this particular model IMO is the build quality, but if you don't drop it should be OK

Black update is being rolled out to 520 soon.

Windows Phone has GTA as of a few days ago...

If it is of interest, the latest issue of Which magazine rated a number of smartphones in the budget bracket. Windows Phone devices took the top three spots! Lumia 620 coming out on top, with the 520 coming in second. The HTC 8S was third (even with its derisory 1.5gb's of available internal memory).
Android devices filled the rest of the list.

But this runs almost as smooth as a 920 except on games because the os is really optimised

I have an ovivo sim, will this phone be compatible with that? Forgive me for sounding slow

Yes I am using my Ovivo sim in a Lumia 1020 and currently my Lumia 520 with no troubles!

Had this for 2months now, Well worth the price!!

Excellent value. I have one as a work phone, email integration is perfect, much better than BlackBerry. SatNav is surprisingly good as well. Can't go wrong at this price.

got my sister this phone instead of the moto g,shes no tech head, and i think this is a much easier operating system than android, especially for a beginner like she is

My daughter recently had the screen replaced & when they opened it up said that the warranty is now void because it has water damage, and she used to take hers in the shower.

dude what are you talking about? Muffy clearly proved that this phone is better than a Moto G, and he should know - his wife has a Lumia 620.

also, if you read between the lines it's clear from his post that Android is for idiots, so i won't be taking your advice!

Who really cares. You're all going to die one day, life is really short, arguing over phones is absolutely pathetic. So many trolls with nothing better to do than give their factually incorrect ridiculously biased opinions.

and if you don't mind being forced to use Bing...

Thanks

wow just brought my moto g and picked up from tescos and then read muffys post.....
