Nokia Lumia 625 on Vodafone - £13 a month, or £1.63 a month after cashback! @ Mobileshop

For HDUKers who are happy claiming cashback, and have Vodafone reception, unlike me!

The Lumia 625 is a great mid-range Windows 8 phone with strengths including a 4.7" screen and above-average battery life.

I haven't used MobileShop.com personally - perhaps someone can comment on how reliable they are at paying cashback. It's not for everyone, but I've had cashback reliably for about 10 years now from a few different companies.

OK, the link seems to have been edited so it doesn't work. This is the link that works: comparemobilephonedeals.com/mob…052

Apologies, clicking the Get Deal button doesn't work, please instead use the link now added to the post: comparemobilephonedeals.com/mob…052

I believe they are in A1 Communications group same as Buymobilephones.net and Affordablemobiles.

Hot deal. If they pay out as easily as mobiles.co.uk you're on a winner.

Cheers OP. Been looking for a cheap smartphone and this will fit the bill perfectly. I've had numerous cashback deals in the past with no problems, just need to be organised about getting the paperwork in at the right time. At less than a couple of quid a month for a phone that's selling for £100 odd on e-Bay you can't really go wrong.

good price. only thing that puts me off is after reading some reviews, a few people comment about hidden charges that are added to monthly payment

Ah, good info, thanks. I've been getting cashback reliably from Buymobilephones.net for the past 3 years.

simple search shows there's been deals posted on here for over 7.5 years now...

this looks good as i have been looking for a cheap contract like this as my current one is about to finish. The phone is a bonus too . the only downside is that you have to send in EVERY bill + only available via the Postal method and not E-mails etc. At the redemption rate it is a no -brainer although still risky as i havent used this company only dial-a-phone which have been Fine so far..

Just as an update my phone arrived today and has a sheet with the 6 redemption codes with dates of what/when and where to send it.
absolute bargain of a phone! you can have 2 contracts per house so gonna buy a second one to sell the phone on. pay total of £39 over 2 years, get £150 this week.. as mr bacon would say.. no brainer

how long does it take to first bill?

This deal is also showing on mobilephonechecker.co.uk as well now, so just in case the link in the original post stops working, here's an alternative: mobilephonechecker.co.uk/ext…260

Dave, I'm not 100% sure how to answer your question, but in case it helps, my last contract started on the 27th April, and I got my first bill on 1st May. I sent my first cashback claim just after receiving my September bill, and received the cashback in my account on the 18th October. These are O2 billing arrangements, not sure if Vodafone is the same or not...

thanks for the info, don't want to get the phone without knowing when first bill will be. few days after getting the phone sounds about right

I had to pay £2 when I joined etc. not sure if that' be taken off first bill or something but will let you know when first bill arrives if you like

that would be great .
thanks

If you don't mind making the cashback claims, this is a great deal.

Placed an order last night, and also have £31.50 tracking through Topcashback (there's £30 available on Quidco too, if you don't use TCB). If cashback works out, I'm effectively paying £7.62 over 24 months, or £0.32 p month! Thanks for posting OP

Box, do you mean the £2.50 payment when placing the order, as that's used to verify your details and refunded back onto your card, can take up to 7 days though.

i did indeed. fair enough hopefully i'll see that back in my account shortly then
i did manage to get my order to track through quidco at £45 but not sure if it will be fulfilled as couldn't find the deal on the site itself and had to get it added to the basket via the OP's link.
If it is confirmed then im laughing all the way home :P
deal works out at 12.5p per month! paid TO me.
still unsure as to why this deal is so cold. too many morons use this site these days

Wow, being paid to take a contract and phone from them, now that's a deal!

I was the same, couldn't find the deal directly and had to use the link here, but even without Quidco/TCB, it's still a cracking deal IMO.

It must be the whole cashback claim process that puts people off, not an issue for me personally (setting a reminder in my phone's calendar does the trick).

exactly. thats all i've done. even at £13 a month though its still a decent enough deal for a phone for £150+, plus a free case nokia.com/gb-…fer
and £20 of windows credit which can be used to either buy apps on phone or xbox stuff nokia.com/gb-…er/

Forgive me for being dense, but if the contract is for 24 months with 9 months free by redemption, that is 15 x £13 to pay, which is £195 over the contract period. Less TCB of £31.50 brings it down to £163.50 or £6.81 per month. I can't see how you can get it for £1.63 a month. Happy to be enlightened, but I think I've spotted a possible error in the arithmetic. Has the calculation been done on a 12 month term (12 minus 9 months = £39 to pay) but then the £39 is divided by 24 to get to £1.63 a month? Is this correct?
Granted it is cheap for a contract if you spend your life texting, but not many minutes or data included. You can buy the phone outright from Carphone Warehouse for £149.95 including £10 top up, which will be unlocked and then get an Ovivo Freedom SIM for more minutes and data. Just a thought
