Nokia Lumia 800 - £21.50 a month/ 24 month @phones4u

Found 2nd Dec 2011
Free for £21.50 /month on a 24 month contract. The phone is on O2 and there is £50 quidco.

A brilliant deal for a brand new phone, on arguably the best network. What more could you want?

Forgot to mention: 200 minutes, 3000 texts and 500mb of data.

Edit: It's part of their Christmas deals, so I don't know how long it will last.

46 quid
would make it £19~ per month, similer to the deals at buymobilephones, but without redemption stuff?

possible to remove data&wifi ?

60 quid cashback with quidco at the mo too...
Extremely good price!

If you're not going to use a lot of minutes this deal looks stunning.

Does anyone know when the pink one is coming out? Think I've finally got an idea of something to buy for that special someone for xmas.

The £60 is only when you take out a contract with a gift. With this phone it's £50.

Not for the first 9 months (I think).

"Connection is subject to status and credit checking. After connecting or upgrading with O2, customers are unable to move to a lower priced tariff for 9 months. After 9 months you can change tariff once per month, providing that you move down to the next lowest priced tariff."

Expired.

Got my Cyan Lumia today. Might be an even better deal as the paperwork & o2 online is saying 24 months, 200min, unlimited txt, 500mb data/wifi for only £15.50 (inc vat)
Anyone else on this contract?

No, O2 rejected my application (I don't have any credit, because I'm only 18). I am getting the phone on T-Mobile though. What's the phone like out of interest?

Phone is fast & looks pretty. The standard top of the phone ear level speaker seems a bit muffled. The whole facebook & hotmail integration is bit of a shock. I'm not a fan of either. But it's sync'd my connects from gmail. - I'm a Mac user and this is the only way.
The camera white balance & colours seem off, hopefully that will be fixed by nokia as I'm not impressed. I wish I could get shots this nice Fools & mobiles blog - see the difference is colours on the candle shots.
It's missing some important stuff for me (VPN access for work) and it has no iplayer support
Number is getting ported tomorrow so will get a chance to really play then!

FYI, the £15.50 price only includes the free 'web daily bolt on' that limits the cost of internet to £1/day. I need to add the £6 All rounder Data bolt on to get the 500MB/wifi and not get the extra £1/day charge.
On the phone front, it's not auto spotting peoples numbers if they are stored in google/sync'd to phone as 07xxxxxxxxx instead of +447xxxxxxxxxxx

You seem overly negative about the phone, listing all the faults but few positives. I received the phone today and it seems really good. I had the SGSII fail to hold a wifi connection, but this is absolutely fine.

No, I'm really liking the phone, the screen is very impressive (compared it earlier to a HD7 and it's just so bright!), It feels very nice in the hand, call quality is as good or if not better than my old Nokia. The muffled noise must have been from O2's support line not the phone.
Camera is much better anywhere but my lounge, (my unboxing & initial testing location) I think the energy saving low lit bulbs didn't help there. Pics from the office and outside look real nice, with much more real light color balance.
I except my devices (especially a top range Nokia/WP7) to just work, so I only mentioned were I found issues. Wifi just works, the touch screen works and responds very fast and smoothly.

It is my 1st (working) smart phone (1.5 android with slow cpu was unusable) so I've nothing to really compare it too, except what i see others around with how I my Mac works. I picked a WP7 because the general UI is so integrated unlike android/I OS's launcher style or separate apps.
Some of the UI touches are very nice; Mail's delete and send visuals, even the hints. The mail app it just suggested that I touch the left hand edge of a mail to bring up the hidden tick list, rather than use the footer button.

I like the twitter, sms, person integration stuff. very impressive. I'm even coming around to FB given that now seems have to better controls on what appears and does etc.

Not sure what's going on with +447xx vs 07xx stuff, seems to only impact some contacts not others. Nothing that a tidy up won't sort. Not yet received yesterday firmware update, and really hoping the Internet tethering/sharing one turns up soon (once release by Nokia) as I'm not often away but it would be nice when I'm.

Fair enough, it's just that not many people will comment on the positives, only the negatives (because they stick in the mind more). I received the update today, but there wasn't anything groundbreaking included. I had the HTC HD7 last year and, whilst the OS looks similar, the app store has improved immensely. My camera doesn't look too good inside my house either, I don't know why (but the camera itself is fine, without any pink hue). All in all, I'm happy.
