So this deal is on O2 Refresh which I have used a few times before to get phones cheapish. Take n out the phone contract and paid it off after the first month or so (not sure of time frame but i've done it after one month), no additional costs and no need to pay for the remaining line rental.

If you are interested take a look. The phone cost is for the £33pm and £9.99 upfront costs with a phone credit of £360 to pay, others are priced at £480 for the total phone cost.

The direct link can be found here for the green one.

Possible £55 quidco too (not put in title as you will need to keep the contract for it to approve)

Also if you are planning on keeping the contract O2 do a variety of 30% airtime discount pm. I got mine via NUS, girlfriend from the company she worked for. I'm not sure how to do it any other way but this site should give you an idea. You visit o2open.co.uk but read the link below first.

Wait the prices are different to what I posted, how do i edit it?

Edit: I think it has been edited to include the first months line rental. The direct link can be found here for the green one.

The phone plan price for the £33 tariff is £369.99, so this is what you'd have to pay to keep the phone.

I've always cancelled the contract within the 7 day cooling off period, but kept the O2 account open until the cashback is paid out, worked every time. Many others have had issues with cashback though, might be why the deal's gone cold that, and the price is too high compared to the EE deal - you should be able to edit the price or ask a mod to do it for you

This deal's better than the EE one IMO, as the phone can be easily unlocked by O2 for free. Also, the promo bundle is available with O2 on the website, I think EE's is only in-store? I'm biased though, would never touch anything to do with EE/Orange/T-Mobile again no matter the price, one of the worst companies I've ever had to deal with.

Even without the CB, this is a great price, have some heat

I agree.

I have had all my phones unlocked for free via O2 and they price match. I did this with my current WP (1520) and I got the £139 initial cost wiped off and £10pm loyalty discount to match it.

Sorry, just noticed your comment that the price was edited to include the first month's line rental - that's incorrect, as you only pay for the first few days if cancelling within the cooling off period, I've done this 4 times on the Refresh deals so speaking from experience. So the additional airtime cost should be around £7.45 at most, not £33.
