How do you get them to unlock it?

Call them up - I think it costs £15 - they will send you a code

If youre buying for this purpose you might want to ring up and check. This was true a couple of months ago ( I did it and they didnt even charge me £15), but I tried twice yesterday with a different handset and they refused, saying I had to be using it for 12 months AND pay £15.

I argued I am a pay monthly customer of 2 1/2 years, but they said that payg sim had to be activated for a year.

i normally get my phones unlocked for free with virgin, they ask me if you have any trouble using your sim on a locked phone give us a call back so thats what i did and they do it for free. So i guess you can call your network up and say that i.e if your with o2 say you cant use your o2 sim in your new phone see what they say, worth a shot

tesco runs thru o2 so technically should be same amount of ease to unlock

Tesco mobile uses the O2 network thats it - they are still a completely different company with different terms and conditions.

This current flagship phone from Nokia has got a brilliant 600Mhz processor on it. Sorry but the specs of this phone would have been hotten in 2008 not in 2010 where 1Ghz and 1.3Ghz processors, apps ruling the world and people are comparing the CPU's and integrated GPU's that save power.

Poor Nokia.....sorry but the specs of this phone are already outdated. Please dont tell me it has got a 12m pixel camera on it. If i want a camera i buy one separately i dont want to burn my fingers at a price of this for an outdated mobile phone.
have not voted though.
Just realized that the Orange's budget mobile San Francisco has same processor as this but with a very very very very very good interface (android) and OLED screen which consumes less power and saves the battery last long. of course camera is poor quality but again if you want a camera buy one elsewhere why this brick?

have you used it to give a comment like this? are you something like a very important person to have a more powerful or higher??? spec phone?? if ever you own an iphone or android phone have you ever used MOST or all of their apps? a brick???? have you ever held one to know what it feels like? so when you went for a day out and ooops forgotten your valuable camera, what do you use then? is it your phone? 12mp is nice isn't it.....oh sorry maybe you always have your camera with you alongside your BETTER spec phone of the 21st century,!i can't imagine how bulky it is in your pocket or how troublesome to carry another stuff with you. my apologies again i just realised that you could be a well known critic paid quite a lot a month using hot uk deals to shop for bargains...(no offence to other members or viewers).at the end of the day it's what you are and how you want to use your phone for isn't it[/b

The reason android phones are running on 1ghz cpu is due it running on linux and then a big java app called android.

If you pulled android off and put a proper os onto it you'd need only around 600mhz to 800mhz to do the same thing ...

The high cpu demands of android require it to have a fast cpu ..

I am not paid for being a critic...know what you're talking.
I did mention in my comment that I agree the camera is good on N8. I've compared the interfaces to be poor on N8 which is true.
then what is your rant all about. if you like the N8 go and buy it. Nobody is stopping you I am not either. But I was only talking how once a great company nokia's flagship mobile's processor matches with a cheap plasticky orange's cheapest phone's. that is it nothing else. if you're nokia fanboy keep it that way i dont bother. but accept the facts.

I do have a HTC Desire and my missus Iphone4....is that clear now. I do still have a Nokia 5800 as a spare. So I do know how a symbian, android and Ios works. now, may i know if you had ever tried android or ios other than symbian????
On my desire i got all range of apps, like ebay, paypal, browser, asphalt game, one click widgets to switch between 2g-3g,apn on/off,wifi on/off, sync on/off etc....i remember, if you want to change a setting on symbian you need to go through 7-8 steps selecting the things. let alone, symbian has not got an ebay app. the one from ovi store just opens up the ebay.co.uk page in web browser....is that an app????
this mobile certainly is outdated (apart from camera). Yes I do use apps a lot of apps htat saves my time and keeps me informed and controlled. If i want to check the status on my friends stream its just one click on my home screen........there are a lot of things that my apps do and I do need them i do not need to be a VIP to have those apps. And Desire costs less than N8
