Not really a free gift as all smart phones since the n97 have it as standard, it is a standard feature just like the camera. That is really false advertising at it's best as it is pre installed on the phone and already free, so not like O2 are actually adding anything to the package. If it said "also includes" that would be another matter but this isnt a freebee o2 have got exclusivity over or something better than anywhere else.

Not voting either way, the n8 is a nice phone but if I was to go back and get another nokia after the crap that is my current n97 I would wait for the n9 in a couple of months, keyboard plus all the rest of the n8 features for what is rumoured to be the same price.

£309 in O2 stores

once a mighty company, but nowhere near the androids/iphones/blackberrys.

hope Nokia CEO is listening.

Hmm, if you want the camera, its worth it but was 310 quid in Tescos. Would get the C6-01 if you want the same phone but with a lower spec cam.

Pity the reviewers don't like Nokia and the Blackberry/Android hype has not died yet. Some updates to S^3 Q1 this year should make this more appealing.

Voda and 3 are the worse with branding (aka crapping up the phone). I think suffered one crash since the 22 of December with my unbranded/unlocked n8 .

Remember that you could simply reflash the phone with the relevant sim free firmware and therefore remove the software branding. I did this on both of my last nokias without any real issues. Even a warranty repair was completed without complaint. Also as for Symbian, I tried symbian 3 and found it a good improvement on even the latest version running on my N97. That said I wouldn't go for another Nokia, as soon as a decent qwerty keyboard Android one comes out I'm jumping ship.
