I'm surprised its volted cold. Its the cheapest place you can get an N80. And only phone at this price with WiFi.

It has it on the back of the battery cover

Be aware that the N80 has the worst signal pullin than any Nokias in history. If you live in a built up area with plenty of cell sites but if you are not expect plenty of Drop outs when you go into the Country. Still Ive got one and even the the signal strength is **** its built in WIFI and the ability to run TOMTOM makes up for it.

I have had an N80 for about 18 months (Near the end of my contract woohoo!) Its not a bad phone, wish I had stuck with my 7610 though, the N80 looks better and has loads of useless features you'll never use (wifi being one), the the camera isnt very good, video is very poor and hardly and software works on it...

If I hadn't already got a (currently still working, touch wood) N770, I'd buy this just for the wifi.

Are any of the above phones easy to unlock ?

Are any of the above phones easy to unlock ?

not really.

you will need to get the code from orange or find a rich unlock shop with MT-pro (as mt-pro is around £3k to buy )

Voted hot, this is a great phone, you can't really go wrong at these prices! Works superbly with tomtom sat nav, and if you stick in a 2gig mini sd card, you'll have plenty of room for music and software. Good quality sound for a phone as well!

SPS Mobile unlocks the N80 for £10, N73 for £17.

Others should do em too.

or you viewed too quick :giggle:

I have one of these too - it's not been a bad phone at all really. Especially good for satnav and I use the wifi quite a bit in different places for email etc.

Now N80 selling for £79.99 on orange

is this better than the Nokia e65 also sold on the same site?

I had one when they were new and it was dreadful! Even with a firmware update, it was a disaster in my opinion. Battery life was ... well, unacceptable at a day maximum (for me) and it was prone to crashing a fair amount. WiFi was very hit and miss, and the camera was pretty poor too (I didn't expect much to be quite honest). Putting a 2GB card in made music a bit of fun, but, the sound quality was worse than my K750i via the same Sony MDR-EX71 buds.

What annoyed me the most was the poor signal and the tendancy to never say when a message had failed to send. I would be hounded by the GF for not replying to her, when in reality I had, but the phone had just left messages in the outbox with no warning. Not fun at all!

Though getting it for £50 on contract new, I sold it 9 months later used (and honestly) on eBay for £160 with a 2GB card. People are mad.

At the end of the day, assuming these have now been upgraded with better firmware, I can see that the deal is okay if you are prepared to battle!
