Looking for a new phone that I can strip of the worst offenders datawise...this phone will have to last me about 4 years (because I care so much) & have good battery life, calls text, very occasional web foray for a couple of sites & to use for my brewing gear app...
Anyone give some cheap phone advise for someone who doesn't like phones & uses minimal data (often less than a GB a year)?
My grainfather app is generally bluetooth notifications for "processes"

Cheers (no pun)
The 6.2 doesn't come with £60 of extras?

Good spot that, lol.

But the OP's Nokia 2.2 is dual SIM, and the CPW one doesn't actually specify as to whether it's a one or two SIM thing?.

So would therefore be a bit difficult to therefore compare a true like for like, etc. :-D

These phone's could always be used as a fancy SatNav system thing, I guess?. :-)
Probably wise for buyers to familairise themselves with whatever mechanism is in place to service the suggested 3 years warranty. Seller appears to be HMD with terms "in accordance with the laws of Finland" and at £79 wouldn't even qualify for UK-based S75 protection, so I'm out.

Perhaps consider a Nokia 6.2, instead?.

The Nokia 6.2 has a 6.3 inch FHD screen on it.

If that's big enough for you?. :-)

Agreed the update and support is a draw factor but trust me in 1/2 years time the chip will be obsolete and you will still require an upgrade.
So i dont see the fuss about Android One if the chip doesn't change
For example will you use a 3 year old android phone today even if it were updated to android 10? Thats like using a Huawei Nexus 6p today
Just bought 3.1 out off giffgaff. Refurb looking brand new...
Nokia 2.2 has removable battery! Great selling point for a modern smartphone IMO

Depends on interpretation really?.

Phone's (be they smartphones, or otherwise), haven't exactly stopped freezing, have they? (despite the million's upon million's of mobile phone's sold in this Country since 1985, going ... )

Case in point, 2 night's back, I had such a similar 'technical issue' with a phone for my Dad.

That phone at the time had a non-removable battery on it's smartphone too.

I had to Google to find out how to do a HARD reset on it, on account of it playing up the way it was otherwise playing up, etc. :-(

Clearly NOT exactly what we could call as ideal like, huh?, but alas ... lol.

Long story short, I had to waste even more time figuring out that 'alternative method' of doing thing's, then actually actioning it out, and all the rest of it, etc?.

As opposed to simply just opening up the back of the phone, taking it's battery out, putting the battery back in, and that's it (literally). :-D

Turning it back on, and Bob's your Uncle ...

There's both pro's and con's with whichever argument you use basically?, be that for removable batteries in phone's, or rather for phone's without removable batteries instead, etc?.

It's purely dependant on one's your take on it I guess?. :-)

I love smartphones with removable battery as can have 1 or 2 spare and usually there is an external charger available, so you always have a spare fully charged one to swap in

BINGO!!, I couldn't agree with you more there. :-D

Roll on the smartphone version of the original Nokia 3310, from back in the Day ...

The only thing that championed it at the time (ofcourse), was it's immediate successor, the Nokia 3330. :-D

Ahhhhhhhhh, the age of when pay&go phone's in this Country was now coming of age, lol.

And has since done a full circle upon itself too. :-)

That aside though, everybody wants the phone sleeker, slimmer, sexier, and ...

The realty is (fortunately/unfortunately), is, something has to 'give', right?.

And that would inevitably be the abilities for you to so easily remove the batteries from your own phone's now, etc, right?.

But though, if you aren't necessarily bothered with bothering yourself with any of them (arguably) frivolous thing's anymore?, then ofcourse ...

(Good or bad), that's literally the nature of game now, I guess? :-D

But alas, life ... hehehe.
