I have a feeling they have it mixed up with the Hr steel ( which I have ) it has a little screen showing text notifications , caller id and calendar alerts. plus vibrating, I guess this could just vibrate letting you know someone has texted or called.
Can anyone comment on how good the swimming tracking is and if it can connect to Strava?

Can't comment on swimming tracking but it can't connect to Strava yet. There are few partner apps available like MyFitnessPal etc.

Doesn't do any of those things. That would be the Steel HR. All it does is count steps on a second dial (which shows your % completion of target) and monitor sleep. You can also set a vibrating alarm through the companion app. Doesn't offer any notifications.

EDIT: I know this because I have one. Really happy with the device. Got it much cheaper than this on Black Friday, but this is a valid deal if it's currently the cheapest available price. If you want a cheaper alternative, Amazon still sell the Withings Activite Pop (which this is based on) for £62.60: amazon.co.uk/Wit…pop

Pros:1. Innovative design of combining traditional dial and LED screen2. Up to 25 days of battery life3. Silicone strap is very comfortable4. Has finally added heart rate monitoring compared to previous modelsCons:1. The mirror is a mineral glass material instead of a sapphire material, easy to get scratch2. Silicone strap feels slightly cheaper3. App function is simple without innovation4. App is not fully finished5. Adsorption charging is easy to fall off, cannot attach the watch firmly. 6. Pedometer Function does not add the current mainstream GPS positioning function7. The black dial is actually dark gray, looks ugly. 8. Automatically adjust brightness function is a disaster, need a long reaction time9. Thick dial, feel uncomfortable. 10. Less accessories, a manual and a charging cable only

You're clearly talking about a different watch mate.

Damnnnn I thought it’s steel hr... stupid me
I had the Withings branding one previously and it was utter garbage! The app is awful. The only positive to say is the case was nice!

Save your money and also the lack of support (Nokia is now dead). Buy one of these instead!

45+ Days battery, always on screen, 24/7 HR readings, and works on iOS or android

I've had this watch since Christmas... so here some things to keep in mind:

positives:
- Great battery life (8 months +) I love not having to recharge this thing all the time
- Nice looking
- Keeps track of sleep
- Water resistant, been swimming with it countless times
- Small and thin

negatives:
- It doesn't show the date (this drives me crazy)
- Sometimes the watch gets out of sync and I have to reset its time (via the app)
- Step meter seems a little off (I have another step meter which gives me up to a 10-15% different step count)
- There is no illumination, so good luck if you want to see what time it is in the dark
- The watch face is mineral (as apposed to sapphire) so it does tend to scratch easily. I think they sell screen protectors for this watch... I wish I got one.

Withings is a good brand. Nokia just resold it to previous owner.

Nope. It tells time and tracks steps. It's supposed to track sleep, but in my 6 month experience it's completely failed to do that! Actually a very disappointing experience overall. It looks good but scratches really easily, the app regularly fails to connect too. Also it's not officially compatible with Huawei and Honor phones!

Yeah the lack of date and light drives me nuts too. I kind of assumed the hands were luminous!

No. That is taken from the higher end version Steel HR. That does not apply to the regular Steel version

I got a couple of them as prize in a facebook competition from Nokia, and it's been brilliant since. Best and most stylish watch/activity tracker I have had. The app is great too in my opinion. No problems with the glass getting scratched unlike other commented, but I am always careful with my gadgets.

I still have the NOKIA Steel white version in the box, unopened and sealed in case anyone is be interested. Willing to sell it (since I have another one I'm using) for £70 (so a considerable saving from the deal price) and I would include receipt for warranty purposes.
