cheaper on amazon but I love my "low end" £150 X10, no problems so far and updated to android 12 without hassle.
Isn't the one on Amazon 4gb?

This is unique in its class in that it's a properly tough phone, without the bulk of a CAT phone. I also can't believe that people spend £1k up for a phone then put it in a £30 case which makes their phone look the same as any other phone. This needs no case which is a bonus. And finally, it is less Chinese than most of its rivals being designed in Finland by a Finish-based company (HMD). Granted, still produced in China but at least profits don't go to the CCP. For that purpose alone I am happy to support Nokia for the sake of a few quid!

Premium phones have many aspects to justify price, design is always a factor but not the single defining factor. This phone sans cover looks better than my partner's iPhone with cheap rubber bumper. I think people buy for status and brand, the iPhone brand depends on this.

I avoid everything Chinese where possible, if as consumers we were better at this the country would be safer and probably more prosperous.

Btw Tech Radar game the phone 5/5 at a price of £449 so this is not a bad phone.
