Are these 1080p?
Are these all 4k?

Are these all 4k?

Yes all 4K. I bought the same boxset last Christmas for £80.
jimhuf26/11/2019 10:55

Are these 1080p?

You get the blu-Ray 1080p discs as well as the 4K UHD discs for each film
Arrrrrg my wallet!

Also are the 1080p Blu-rays the remasters or just the original releases?

Love interstellar, absolute quality
My Gran used to like the Nolans
This is a good price for a UK copy. I believe it's been similarly priced/cheaper before but hard to come by a UK version at this price.
Hot from me.
But no Memento
Cheers OP been waiting for this to come down..... bagged one
Same price (well, 1p more expensive) instore at Fopp if anyone fancies supporting their local high street
ANJOFA26/11/2019 11:57

But no Memento

Which is a shame because it's his best film!
Absolute steal, I bought it a few months ago when it was priced the same at Chili (OK, a penny more) and ended up spending a couple of hours just watching the Dunkirk extras.

Not true 4k but not bad.

Thanks op ordered
Thanks, @PeterWRd . Bought!

Yep, definitely not true 4k but unless you test the disc you probably wouldn't know.

Er, yeah they are...
gadger_r5626/11/2019 17:13

Er... No they are not.

And what proof have you? These were scanned from the IP film sources, so they are very much 4K.

Not hard to go find visual comparisons either.

EDIT: The one outlier is Batman Begins, which has a less pristine source and some weird DNR issues. But it still has an uptick in detail over the Blu-ray.

I'm sure you are a queen, not quite sure why you find it so hard to believe, there are people that do that job you numpty.

I know there are, I just seriously doubt you are one of them, based on the zero evidence whatsoever you've provided, and a clear lack of or demonstration of knowledge of UHD.

Yes. Because you asserted something that was complete bulls**t, and I'm calling you on it.

All the tech-specs are on blu-ray.com. I think I'd believe them over some random on HUKD.

I'm in the mood for......4k.....

Or 1080 or whatever the argument is about below
If you're arguing over 2k digital intermediates being upscaled to 4k you're an idiot... try out lion king or aqua man, both 2k intermediates, both reference quality...
You have no idea what you're arguing over so please stop the "true" 4K BS...

So far I've discovered that batman begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight rises, Dunkirk, inception and the prestige are native 4K.
The only one that is unclear is Interstellar, but with the amount of visual shots I'd imagine 2K upscaled to 4k.

All of the info I can find has these as native 4k releases...
Search the AVFORUMS site for their reviews where they state that these are native 4k...

In case anyone's curious about forthcoming releases, IMDb's Technical Specs pages now identify the resolution of DI where known. All the Nolans are remastered from 4k scans, with the Batman sequels redone from the appropriate negative (the original Blu-ray releases just scanned the IMAX whole, which had some nasty edge enhancement applied to the 35mm sections during the IMAX blowup process.)

edit - and yes, Interstellar's DI and VFX were rendered at a full 4k to handle the IMAX.

Do any of these have HDR?
