Nice watch but discount not deep enough at start of global depression - the swiss watch industry is going to have glut of stock - I'd hang fire for the moment...
Perfect watch. Nice to look at, simple to read. Sadly a bit pricey for me.

I don't think anyone knows exactly what will happen with the economy in six months, so right now doesn't seem a good time to spend £2k on a watch. Whatever happens, it's highly unlikely to go up in price!
Great starter piece for anyone looking for an in-house movement. Heat added(y)

Even if there is no long-term depression, there is going to be glut of watches on the market - a lot of desperate middle-men will dump stock on the grey market for cash-flows - prices can only go down for the near future..
There's only 3 brands of watch which appreciate in value lol. This idea watches are any sort of investment is a fallacy. As soon as you take them out the shop they lose 30 percent of their value and then decrease.

This is a great watch and Nomos have made great strides in their higher end offerings. Fairly sure a person spending 2 grand on a watch is not the type of person who is gonna be affected by the closure of their Greggs job...
Nice price for a great watch

If you mean Rolex - the private watch forum I'm on currently has a glut of people trying to sell Rolex because they are worried that prices are about to collapse - in the past they would have moved quickly but they just sit there...

People have been worried they're about to collapse for ages, always the same worry on any forum. 'Any minute now, any minute now'. As long as Rolex can create artificial scarcity, they won't collapse. Rich Chinese and Arabs are buying more and more of them at whatever the price. Rolex has the best marketing department in the world.
So far we havnt seen sellers offloading anything. Perhaps they are thinking we only have to weather about 2 bad months and things may pick up. i guess if it lasts longer than that they might.
I think the luxury market is going to get hot hard to be fair, it's not Greggs shoppers but business owners too:
