It's 2 year old and unsupported and they want how much.
Sorry but cold, I wouldn't pay more than £50 for this these days, it's just too old now, ok for a basic tablet but thats about it...
This tablet is 4 years old...
This can be virus magnet with no updates. There are lots of new viruses coming out in Android. With no updates you will a sitting duck for viruses and hacking. Also it is not cheap either.
I have one with CM11 and use it for reading/news apps - was a good buy at the time a few years back, especially when B&N were selling off the covers and spare chargers for a fiver each (charging plug is custom to Nook, it isn't USB so watch out). It isn't fast by today's standards though so I wouldn't recommend it for web browsing or gaming. It is a great screen though, so recommended for reading apps (what it was originally designed for).

Does seem expensive for something so old - I paid 100 for mine 3 years ago - but not sure if there is something else with this spec for less money new?
cm13 marshmallow works really well on it download from xda

Probably nothing about with similar screen quality at that price.

That's the reason I posted this...
Been **** of with the Lenovo mediatek thingy going hot here....
FYI, I got the 1st nook in 2013 and this is my 2nd one...

this is great for youtube, 1080p videos, popcorn time etc... (if you are that kind of guy...)
add some memory and take your whole video library with you...
I have one paid about 70 quid 18 months ago. I'm going to vote hot even though the price is high for such old tech but and I mean this the screen is absolutely fantastic and a great size for Netflix etc. I don't browse on it use a windows tablet for that but i go camping every year and this is my first choice for movies. Plus mine was reconditioned this is new. Totally agree ditch the stock software and install Cyanogen and its still a capable entertainment screen.

This is soooo cold, it's freezing. You no longer have support from Barnes & Noble in the UK, have to use the Sainsburys ebooks and believe me, you don't want to use Sainsburys.

Cyanogenmod makes it a brilliant tablet. Surprisingly good battery life, excellent screen, lovely aspect ratio, wonderful build quality, and adequate speed for Android.

Agree with the above comments, though - mine was £100 three years ago. Android is also beginning to look unnecessary, now that we have the hardware for Windows 10 tablets (and even phones).

An alternative might be something like the Chuwi Hi8 - about £60-70, 1920x1200 IPS screen, Quad-Core Intel Atom Z3736F, 2GB RAM, and dual-boot Android / Windows 10. At 8", it's an inch smaller than the Nook, and its plasticky feel is certainly going to be inferior, but whack a 128GB SD card in there and you've got a lot of tech for your money.
Unless hanging it from a rope is a crucial feature I'd look elsewhere now
Best screen I've ever had on a tablet but very dated now (even with cyanogenmod)

lol yeah it's a most bizarre feature
It's old but I have CM11 on mine so it doesn't feel as old as it is really. The screen is great. I managed to damage one of mine, so bought another one a year ago and it works fine. It's not cheap at this price but if mine broke I probably would buy another one at around this price range.
Brilliant screen for watching media on fantastic for reading. It's not cheap but the build quality is better than anything else for the price and with a new ROM it's not intolerably slow. Heat from me
Sub £50 will get this new hot deal up to 400 deg here.
tempted with cm mod.
hdmi? didn't say on link. not keen on custom charger. but 9" screen great value for this price. yes you will have to install custom rom but that is what makes it a bargain as most people don't know that so think it is rubbish !
sorry op, looks like a poor deal

Nope. No HDMI.
I recall that it needs a special cable to convert from the custom connector to give hdmi and they are rare. I could be wrong though.

Yeah and I think it was only ever sold in the US - I can see it listed on Amazon US but nowhere else. I also didn't see any HDMI options in the settings menu for Cyanogenmod 11 so not sure if it is even supported...
The charger cables (USB to bespoke Nook) can be had on ebay for a few quid (not original though) so you can charge it with any PSU.

Yeah it was only sold there. Even when nook had it's own site to sell accessories here the HDMI thing wasn't on it. Maybe doesn't handle 60 Hz. Think they had better presence in the states anyway though.
Item is pristine....
battery lasted around 7-8 hours on constant youtube...
I feel its a good deal.. as you don't get a tablet with this screen for this price...

Well it should be pristine... they are new lol.
It is a good tablet, but not a good deal. It is 4 years old, the CPU and GPU are getting quite slow, and I never had much luck with any ROM beyond the official CM11. So while the screen is very nice, otherwise it is getting obsolete.

Used ones go for around 30 to 40 - that is a much more reasonable price.
