Reasonable tablet with a good screen for the price, and good as an eReader with other tablet functions.

Other HUKDs have said this is not the fastest, now that Android apps have changed over time, but apparently it is possible to update the OS / ROM yourself to improve it.

This is a new product, not a refurb.

16GB version £10 cheaper here:

It's great for watching films on the move and will support a 64GB micro-SD and sticking CyanogenMod on it does give a bit of a performance boost. But in this day an age it struggles to browse the internet / run current day apps. Also last time I looked Morgan Computers had the 16GB version for £65.

If you want a 9" plus tablet at the £100 mark I'd look at the Linx 10 or a Sony Xperia Z tablet on ebay. If you're on the brave pills then gearbest / other chinese importers have all sorts of interesting looking kit.
I have one but paid this for it 2 years ago, it just isn't worth that now even if it's new. Good as a reader and CM gives it an update to 4.4 but I don't think it makes it any faster. Pity as it's a nice tablet.
this is getting VERY long in the tooth now and £99.89 buys you a lot of tablet these days so cold for me
Really can't recommend this. I bought mine about 18 months ago to read books and comics on. Cyanogenmod worked fine - at first. But it got slower and slower as time went on, practically unusable now.

Save your money and get an £99 Android or Windows tablet. I went with a Linx 10 just before Xmas last year - a world of difference.

My Nook HD+ had CyanogenMod 11 and also slowed down to the point where I was about to dispose of it. Finally tried CM12.1 (the equivalent of android 5.1.1 Lollipop) and it's given it a new lease of life. Much faster and smoother browsing etc. Overall though, the Nook HD+ has had its day. The slowish CPU and 1gb memory powering a full hd screen is always going to struggle at times. Maybe worth considering as a project at £25 or so but that'about it.
