great price if you can get one.

Very good price.
Glowlight is well worthwhile getting.

Been using mine for about 8 months. v good ereader. :-)

The Kindle Paperwhite is a lot better, but this is only half the price. Plus you can root it and install Android apps, including the Kindle app, although with Android 2.1 your selection of compatible apps is quite limited.

I'd been looking into the nook simple touch for £29 but opted for this instead. Bought from Slough store.

Cheers Op!

I bought one of these from Argos for £50 about 4 months ago but decided to take it back unopened. I had read about a big problem with these regarding the backlight. The screen is fragile and if you unwittingly scratch or mark the screen the backlight will shine through.

If you get one of these buy a case and look after it.

Agreed it is very delicate but take care and hopefully will be okay.

Yep this offer is available in Street, Yeovil and Taunton branches in Somerset

Barnes & Noble are pulling out of the hardware side, so chances are, no more Nooks. Shame, as with Sony also giving up on e-readers, there will not be much competition to the kindle in the future.

nope they gonna promote the new glowlight

I've had 2 glowlights 'tear' ( 10 year old throwing them in a bag with keys & lego ) screen looked fine until glowlight came on then you could see damage. It was like shining a torch through a newspaper with small tears in it - very distracting when reading so would definitely recommend a good case. Have this one and it's a good fit and quality. amazon.co.uk/gp/…1_8?qid=1407391633&sr=8-8π=AC_SX110_SY165

If you can buy disc on ebay/gumtree it's a real bargain. 1000s of books for the price of one.

I got a nook hd in my local sainsburys for my son yesterday for 39.99 well chuffed x

They are out of the android tablet business. They just launched a new white glowlight.

Still available at Plymouth Marsh Mills on Monday, when I bought for wife - will root and install Kindle app (plus sudoku game etc) like I did for the non-glowlight version last year, which the kids can now use. Also official nook cases - both neoprene pouch and book style cover - for only £4.99.

Ok, thanks for that update, obviously got my wires crossed.

Found some of them in the Beckton store.

Just bought one today from the Cheadle store, the price is listed as £69 on the shelf but scans as £39. This is a great bargain for an ebook reader, my friend has one too and the build quality looks really good.
