Is it just me that finds Nook sales quite lacklustre?

Heat added.

I noticed some of the books are also matched at Google Play, I have a Nook but find backup of the ePubs much easier from Google than Nook.

Great deal - I bought a full year's supply of books on Nook's similar deal last year. Had been waiting for them to email me about it this year, but they haven't sent anything so thanks OP for the heads-up :)

Lots of great books here. I bought 17. Oops!

Cheers OP. Just ordered a case and international charger to go with the bargain Nook HD+ 16GB I got on here on Sunday for my mum!

The official cases for the Nook are fabulous quality and a no brainer at this price. As has already been said though, they have been this price for ages now so it's not really a deal anymore.

Yes as the Nook HD+ has a proprietary socket so you cannot get third party cables.

I paid £15 for an official nook case and it is well worth it, my nook is in pristine condition despite me chucking it in my bag and it getting thrown around a fair bit! defo worth it at £5! +1 :)

buy a years magazine subscription from nook and get the previous years magazines free
Found 28th Jun 2014Found 28th Jun 2014
As description, titles include edge, total film etc.
Get dealGet deal

depends on the magazine. I can think of some technical stuff that I'd appreciate having the old issues. Make magazine for example. edit - Some magazines just recycle stuff anyway so getting two years worth will give you all you need to know. Not convinced about the gaming/film titles but I can see that the cookery/gardening stuff would be worth while.

Why would you want previous years magazines ? Am I missing something here ?

I want to avoid having to read it on a tablet. By black and white is it actually e-ink or like a laptop screen?

I have the nook simple touch which is black and white like a kindle, you can also get the app on tablets

Is the nook a tablet style ereader? Dont like books on backlit screens much prefer my kindles e-ink

Very good price. I have just recently finished reading these books. Some of the best books I have read. I watched the latest episode of the TV show last night and was confused in parts because I thought certain events had already happened in the TV show but they were what I had read in the books

I found them as interesting as a dogs bottom (and I love the TV show) but each to their own. Has anyone ever tried to read on a nook HD plus?

Amazing price for some very good books if you like the tv series you'll love these a lot better IMO

Two of the books are split into two parts each, so assume this is for all the books. Edit: Heat added

Went for the 360! ;)

Groovy as i said to you yesterday on another thread lol

anyone recommend a nice case?! nothing too bulky

Having recently bought a Nook Simple Touch Glowlight, I thought the 'Industriell Stripe Stand In Carbon' case would be worth having, as it includes a useful stand. It is OK, but there is nothing to keep the case closed (to protect the Nook), there is no pocket for the manual and, when the stand is in use, the weight of the Nook makes it droop to one side. I'm not too impressed with the design - OK for a fiver but a joke at anything approaching the alleged 'original price' of £34.95. Frankly, the case I bought from Argos at £2.99 does the job better, although it has no stand. There are a number of similar cases on eBay for less than a fiver too.

And watch your account, when I was in credit they decided to start taking £5 out of my bank account every month anyway, just in case. Yep, still trying to close the account I gave up on the £30, you can only be told so many times that you'll get it.

X)I received my Nook Duo Pen today and it is fabulous. I love both sides of it. I love the pen because it writes beautifully, and the stylus is brilliant and very accurate, It IS better than the cheap ones I have bought, delighted with the deal so thanks for the tip - I'm glad I took it up.

I think using matte screen guard should improve stylus experience..

Just received mine after 2 days via ups and I'm typing this with SwiftKey and the pen flows beautifully, I doubt you can get better for less I've had Wacom Bamboo then the other new knitted style ones and this is a lot better. Its also a really nice size and perfectly weighted with a really premium matt black rubber-like feel Very impressed

What's the problem with the stylus?

bought this, case and spare charger last month £5 each. I would absolutely NOT recommend this product. The pen is great but for you can get them cheaper than a fiver. For touchscreen it's simply useless.

thanks for the post, I'd not seen the other ones. vurt

£25 for an image, wow. It's pretty easy to put Cyanogenmod on your Nook there's a dummies guide on XDA. I followed it and created my card before getting my Nook. I watched this video but followed the Dummies guide and put 10.1.3 on as recommended.

Had this issue originally when I checked out as guest. Tried again by creating an account and it went through ok.

Order a charger for Nook HD months ago and that was fine tried ordering some cases a week or so ago and got an email back saying payment had failed / rejected credit card tried again with debit card and same outcome Mate also had exactly the same issue and tried via live chat to resolve it without any joy. I guess the B&N tablet division is near dead now and they CBA anymore great tablets for the money nevertheless EliTom

I also emailed nook usa to complain but i got no reply. This has to be the worst customer servive ever.

I'm in the same boat. Items tracked as returned to them on 3rd January, but still no refund. I've just tried Live Chat again and it's down, and sent off another email.

SALE - Range of magazines inc. Total Film, Men's Fitness (per month) @ Nook - 99p
Found 17th Dec 2013Found 17th Dec 2013
Magazine subscriptions can be hideously expensive. If you were planning on subscribing to one of these anyway (and, of course, you have a NOOK), this seems like a good deal.

Here it is

Some real bargains - the cheapest you can usually get "The Week" for on a discounted subscription for 52 issues is £99. £12 seems pretty good to me! Have some heat :)

? Followed the link and only a few magazines for £1 or less, all a bit obscure (St Louis Magazine, anyone?). Have had issues before following links from their emails which take me to the standard Nook landing page and not the deal. Most of them show as having a free trial (which Ive used before) but not seeing, say, Total Film, as £1 sub. Not voted either way.

Can you still buy these if you've installed the cyanogenmod software on your Nook HD+?

Sweet. Will go add heat to that in a sec. UPDATE - Must already have added heat., HD+ Case £15, better than half price + all others on sale

Was looking for a case and noticed all the Nook Accessories for Nook Simple Touch, HD and HD+ were 1/2 price or better. Free delivery too.

Not spotted the dock before. Nice. Unfortunate that it makes little sense to grab a bargain tablet and then spend the cash saved (and more) on overpriced accessories and shipping. Especially as they'd only fetch a few quid when the time came to sell.

You make some good points. I would love the charging dock for the Nook HD and HD+, but it's $39.95 before delivery.

Some really cool designs on the US B&N site. I think it simply comes down to B&N being a much bigger and more well known brand in the states, so they have the sales volumes to justify the range. On the positive side, i just ordered the 360 rotating case for £15 delivered. In the states it's $44.95. Result! England 1 USA Nil Unfortunate that the proprietary HDMI cable is both expensive and only sold in the states, as i could really do with one. Final result, Score Draw: England 1 USA 1 :(

Cheaper on Ebay , good cases

This is a brilliant case for the HD+. It's very well made and it clips in well.
