Just slightly too many characters for the page, got cut off. Made me think this was £11. I'd have bought that.
also full hd 1080p and will let you watch most movie file you can throw at it
I saw something similar in Maplin recently ,
expensive for what it is ..
The refurbished Advent Vega might be more worthwhile for an extra £30 considering it has a dual core Tegra 2.

Yes, they're selling a slightly different version (which some friends of mine own) for £69.99. (http://www.maplin.co.uk/smart-tv-entertainment-box-powered-by-android-586939)

I can't speak for the Noontec A9 in this deal, but my friends and I think the Android TV version I mentioned above is pretty bad. Hardly any apps are available to download. BBC iPlayer was very difficult to get working - and even when it did then the app is built for phones and doesn't look good on a TV screen.

lots of apps work.... they are just designed for a phone...

netflix, you tube etc load vtl launcher really good front end for the big screen, and it has ics coming in february, i've tried the beta and it has bugs but works and if its released on a none beta then it will make the maplin (geniatech atv1000) a fantastice little jack of all trades... i've got a galaxy nexus so i know what ics will bring to this...
Can't you watch some things like iplayer using flash and the browser so it's just like watching from a computer and not a phone?
This seems to have better support like Flash 11 etc, the cheaper ones are on flash 10 etc.....
I would look at Xtreamer though and maybe others before putting money down..... No point buying something that you think will work how you want it but doesn't....

This product is so full of bugs it should be in the dung heap, nearly impossible to get it to connect via wifi, 3 firmware updates in 3 months still have not fixed the issues, as seen by the Noontec forumns stay well clear. Colder than the weather today (its snowing) Stay clear.
