Nordic Pantry Tagine + Spices - Was £16 now £4.80 at Sainsburys

Comes bundled together in a gift style presentation setup (pic to follow) Was £16 and I'm sure the shelf said reduced to £4 but the receipt shows £4.80 so I guess that's the price. All the Nordic Pantry stuff was quite drastically reduced (Jam sets and so on) but this was the only thing I was interested in as I plan on eating a lot of cous cous this year instead of chips

Hundreds on the shelves in Edinburgh Craigleith and I'm sure this will be national as I saw them in all the branches before Christmas but call them if you plan to go to Sainsbury's just for this so you don't waste your time. Might grab a few more tomorrow as Christmas presents?

Tagine? Nordic?

Is it just me?

My mother in law bought me this for Christmas. It's ideal for cooking biriyani!

No not just you, I just checked and a Tagine is traditionally used in North Africa, Nordic Pantry must be the company name. It's a bit like a Yorkshire man running a Chinese Takeaway I guess.

I bought this a couple of days ago. Fairly small but cooks enough for 2-3 I'd say.

Can you put this on heat or in the oven? Or is it just a serving tagine? I've got one but threw away the labels and it doesn't feel particularly sturdy or heatproof?
Thanks
