Nord were 'hacked' at the start of the year and while they say no data that comprimised users was able to be accessed tye fact they kept stum until the last few weeks shouldn't fill anyone thinking of using them with any faith.

Admittedly there is a chance it makes them more secure as it forces them to be more aware but can you trust them?

Don't do it. Not great speeds or latency.
Might be quidco as well (think there has been for other nord deals) been using it for 4 years seems to work great for me

One of the few that works with Netflix. I have PIA, what do you suggest since I was waiting for a deal with nord tbh

Tried netflix and not had much success with nord vpn. If price was not a limiting factor express vpn was at the top of the pile for a while.
I think I paid around £46 for a 3yr deal

Go on their wesite now and a few hours later and tomorrow.... always the same. Had it when quidco was doing 40% cashback or something. Regret it since then...

NordVPN sold out people in court. Muh no logs, but well, actually, we log. Here they are Judge....
Doesn't work with Netflix, doesn't work with Hulu.
Turns 350mbit into 60mbit.

Don’t remember them selling out someone. HMA did. theregister.co.uk/201…sy/

Well to be fair it was the data centre leaving access open, but IPMI shouldn’t be accessible from the outside world.

Disagree. Been using it for years. Never let me down
Still paying less but not bad for a decent vpn service
Why pay? Free VPN

Nope, entirely free. You can donate to them if you want. That's how they fund themselves.

I've also read comments that say once they signed up for a paid service, the speed disappeared.
The link is to the free service I use, and I am happy with it. You must do as you think best.

ok well i think best is not sacrificing 340 of my 350mbit. Free VPNs are only good for browsing, not streaming/torrenting etc.

Nothing is ever free. If you aren’t a customer you are the product. No-one runs expensive services to make a loss so they will be using you to make money in some way
Nord many years ago were OK until they started placing ads everywhere and then they were hacked so how safe are they lol .... Nord told no one for over a year nakedsecurity.sophos.com/201…pn/

They take donations. If you don't trust their statements about the security/privacy of their service, well that applies to all VPN services, paid or not. There is no reason someone can't both charge you and also sell you out in some other way.

What's the difference between this and Windscribe? Currently getting 30gb a month free on Windscribe.

Hi sisqoboy2, Im getting a message on my NordVPN saying my area, UK, is an area for obfuscated servers and do I want to change to those? I don't think the UK is, is it? Have you seen this message? I have tried Google, but with not much luck.

Well, I live in London but never seen that message from Nord. I use it on Win10 and android 9
Nord has a great FAQ and you can decide which server is the best for you depending on what you do:

Cheers, thanks. Very weird. Obfuscated are usually for heavily censored like China etc., so very odd.
