So overpriced wtf
Great for getting to the pub and back. Heat.
I realise brand has gone downhill over the last 10 years, however not every TNF product is for chavs. It's a very warm technical coat, however I didn't find it particularly breathable. Had a McMurdo 5 years ago when the typical RRP was £220-240 - prices have clearly gone through the roof since then. Good for watching football on a winters day but with so much insulation probably way warmer than anything you'll need in the UK.

If you are talking from experience, you must have been ripped off and bought a replica, otherwise you are just expressing your lack of knowledge.
I bought a McMurdo in 2007 and it is still as warm and comfortable as back then.

£180 after half price and another £10 off? Wow.

Same here had mine 6 years was £150 gooutdoors never missed a beat ,I could wear nothing underneath in the coldest UK days and not feel a thing, only trouble is these things are huge and after losing weight it’s massive so might upgrade to the 2nd version

Really, have you been out in a TNF jacket in minus 10 or lower and then compared it to a high street generic brand e.g. Next who will charge around £80 for a fashion coat.

This deal is HOT,
This is good ...just not gearbest...so hot
I could not buy , but if you add the whisky costs, I could easily afford.

Great for chavs

So, so boring.
All the good colours sold out in large, pity.

Voted hot though great price.
Having recently spent 150 on a Patagonia sweater which I really like, I do regret not getting something more substantial though so I’ve gone for this too, I can try it and always return it if need be.

I expect this coat to last me a good few years based on the quality of the brand though it is a shame it’s been hijacked as a “fashion”brand nowadays.
I've had one for around 8 years (was an xmas gift), still going strong and like Packard says it's ridiculously warm. I love it and at this price would jump at the chance to buy one. If you look after it, wash with down wash and reproof each year this should last a very long time. Hot from me.

Not sure if you’ve tried one but they do come up very big, I’m usually a large but medium in this coat.

So it's not great for chavs and wannabe roadmen?
Proper chavs clearly can't afford these.
Chav city
not sure how good this coat is.i bought a similar coat for nearly half the price. can't fault it. just come back from boston usa when it was -30. i needed it. check it out. on amazon for £108 and ebay for £99 Clique Mountain Wear Expedition Parka.
Good price. I was really pleased with the price I paid last year from Butterworth's (£199).
Ooh the jealous haters are a hatin....

This. I have the previous version of this parka and can only wear it on the coldest of cold days in this country, with just a tshirt underneath, otherwise you get too hot. I can’t imagine the same could be said of a cheap high street offering

Yup. I have this or similar (waterproof and down fill). Had it 2 winters now. Best coat I've ever owned, perfect for walking the dog.
Don't need this, don't need this.. I just bought a TriClimate two or so weeks ago..

Ordered
Forgot to add Quidco 5% cashback. (Mine tracked this afternoon £9)

They've got a point though, I used to like North Face as they were discreet and good quality, but hate the oversized logos now which can only be to please the chav fashion brigade.

Just waiting for Sports Direct to buy them out and add it to their list of once decent brands
So to sum up... You will be way too hot wearing this jacket here in UK... COLD from me I'm afraid. Don't spend £200 quid on something that you not gonna wear on daily basis throughout winter.

To some people £200 is not a considered purchase nor a great deal of money. You shouldn’t vote cold because you can’t afford/justify the money an item costs.
If you can find it cheaper then you’re right it’s a cold deal?
Bargain. Rarely come down to this price
I probably shouldn't have but I'll worry about that once I try it on I'll blend in with the locals in full on chav mode.
Fox fur!?!?

Fox fur!?!?

Fox fur? U know it's faux fur right? Canada Goose ones come with real fur.
Great deal and very good product.
Way too warm for UK winters though.

Try Canada goose... That's over priced.
I just bought the Gotham jack, similar to this but bomber jacket style. 550 fill responsible down with waterproof hyvent covering.. Very warm very stylish. £198 at the TNF outlet.

I've done exactly the same, bought a patagonia down shirt hoody (khaki) for £110. Excellent piece of kit, so light and warm butter bight the Gotham jacket as well.
All medium sizes now gone
I’ve had the original McMurdo Parker for years and I love it. Not too sure about this one though TNF seemed to have dipped in my opinion and targeted another breed of customers. The likes of JD Sports and TK Maxx now sell this brand whereas before it was aimed at climbers/outdoorsy folk like myself. I’ve spent thousands over the years on this brand and to see it turning into the likes of Burberry and its clientele is truly frustrating.
Had this a few years, like wearing a sleeping bag, so warm.
Good find. Hot
The new "North Face" will be Canada Goose, saw it on everyone in USA last year like SuperDry was here a few years ago and North Face was in USA ten years ago. NF jackets like this are still decent. It is the lower end ones no better than Tresspass but charging ten times the price that have brought down brand name.
