I just took it from Amazons site, I added comparable prices from other online retailers.

I don't know many XL people who go exploring.

Except maybe to the back of the fridge... in fact, maybe that's what this jacket was designed for.

Thats very ignorant of you... Ray Mears is no skinny guy

Hooligan-tastic!

Cool, like the brown because black north face jackets make you look like a bouncer, heat.

These jackets have an awful fit. Softshells are supposed to be body-hugging. These fit like a potato sack. I would stay away.

From an Amazon review:
"I took a chance on this, after initially wanting the non thermal version. However that had sold out, so I went for this and am glad I did. Looks great, nice fitting, but most importantly it is warm and keeps out the wind brilliantly. Quality North Face. "

Been looking at this, £80+ in Black so an absolute bargain... Thanks and voted hot....

nice find, second hand ones on ebay for £50+

I have one of these, picked up in a Tiso sale for £50 last year. I bought a size down from my usual size and it is a perfect fit. Great quality softshell but agree, you would never pay £175 for it! Very warm and blocks the wind nicely.

£65 - decent price

Proper RRP is closer to £90, and if you get one of these jackets and want a snug fit as it is supposed to be I advise sizing down one, so get XL if you are XXL

Its £99.00 on the North Face website so I'd take the RRP as that.

From what I have read, this model only came out just after the summer?

It's come down to £54 now! that's convinced me to buy!

Idiot.

Clearly I touched a nerve... in amongst all the padding.

Now £54 !

It's definitely the Apex Bionic I have, got it last April. Red and grey. Looks identical to that above, but says simply "Apex" on the sleeve and not "TNF Apex". Old version of same product I think...

Either way, decent price

Actually, I was after an L. I was just taken aback by your rather arrogant and humourless remark.

I really don't think I'm the one being humourless here, friend.

As do I! I didn't take offence as the post inquestion wasn't that bad, it just wasn't that funny!

My jacket arrived on Sat, think its brilliant for the price. Really warm and thick. Going to take it skiing with me in March.
