First Deal

This is an incredible deal IMO for Norton 360.

Now you'll get the usual crowd on this site who say "Norton's Crap". Now these are the people who "think" they know a lot about computers/software etc, but in reality they are living in the past when Norton was out alongside windows Vista, and it was terrible.

But the later editions (including 4 which I've tried and tested) are vastly improved, hogging very little memory, and for those smart people who have actually tried it, they'll know that Norton 360 is actually very good, especially for this price.

*********Plus, I'm fairly sure you can use the serial from this on the latest version of Norton 360 (v7.0), as it has worked with Norton 360 v.5 and v.6.

Version 7 is out, this is an older one, but you can use the serial code in the box for the Latest version of N360 (v7.0)

I do know a lot about computers, this software is fine but that doesn't mean it's necessarily better because it's not free.

Only way people will know for themselves is by trying it out, personally I'll stick to using my PCs with a dash of common sense when browsing and Windows Defender (Win

If in doubt run the free trial you can get of this.

hot just ordered be crazy not to get this if you already have norton that is running out soon

Voted hot, because at £4.97 it's a good deal for anyone who wants it...... But why anyone would want it I'm unsure. Microsoft Windows Defender / Security Essentials provides all the security that I would imagine most users would need; furthermore......"it's free".

Just use Security Essentials and save £4.97, has always protected me against and never let any viruses out.

So some people "think" they know about computers, and they are wrong, but you think (sans quotes) you know about computers and that someone makes you right?

Hop off that high horse there pal. If you knew anything you'd acknowledge that there are free solutions that match if not exceed the capabilities of Norton, without going beyond the technical capabilities of even the most novice user.

Combined with the fact that Windows Defender now comes preloaded with W8, antivirus software like this is slowly becoming defunct. All it takes these days is an updated browser and a smattering of common sense in your internet usage and you should be fine.

Good deal for those who use it.

Couldn't place order with "Free" delivery. I managed to place an order with the 'Pat and Collection' option to my local store if it helps anyone.

So many people still don't have common sense and no amount of free or paid for solutions will stop them going clicky all over the net and infecting their cheap **** machines with optimizers, toolbars and malware.

As one customer said to me after picking up his laptop from repair "everything's free on the net, if you know where to look"
This was the machine that had avg free, McAfee security scan and an expired trial of Norton on.

Its always funny to see so many people on their high horse about paying for security software.

Great deal if you can get it but it's pretty much out off stock everywhere so bit of a non-starter.

Has anyone found a link that says you can actually use a v4 key with v7?

I can't find any info anywhere, fyi, v7 doesn't exist the 2013 edition was version less according to wiki.

en.wikipedia.org/wik…360

Possibility it wont work?

Banned

Pay me 5 pound and i will consider it

OOS in West Yorkshire

Now I can't switch to home delivery ...

Yes Norton has improved but that does not mean it is amazing, personally I went for a 3 license Nod32 which works out around the same per license and good if you use more than 1 pc

HOT price but COLD product. I defected from Norton ages ago when it started slowing my computer down making it unusable (that's one way of not getting any malware or viruses I suppose).

And I also got fed up of the continued updates that are chargeable.

I use MS supplied software on my computer and it works well / highlights any potential threats and is updated free.

Link in #12 yes there is no actual v7 but it does have some engine updates I believe which can be done through "new version check"
I Have had free product updates from V4 to V6 Until now , I Have a Home network so I buy quite a few when there is an offer so I can confirm this , but happy to corrected

I have latest Norton 360 on main laptop and desktop no issues, had `mac a fee` on netbooks via free download from bank and have removed for microsoft version which has speeding the netbooks up.

NOTE/ADVICE on a new Acer laptop with win8 `mac a fee` isolates defender totally and only way to remove is to register and ring up for link for a prog to remove it, now running defender

Spoke to the guy on the phone because I could no longer order any and he said they have sold out everywhere.

Expired.

Site has just updated and it is now unavailable for home delivery.

instead of paying 4 quid and slowing down my pc with a freaking barge pole, it's better stick with free Microsoft security essentials that's free, simple, effective and does exactly what it says.

This is a misleading ad - NONE available anywhere - PCW tricks to attract visitors to site ans stores.
Voted COLD

It would be a good price if they had stock
To add to the debate Most free AV's don't have up to date virus definintions (Windows defender has had several serious breaches) thats why its free! Symantec / McAffee charge as they have virus labs looking at suspicious files and web sites - its not rocket science you pay to be protected.

Alternatively if you have a internet bank account or virgin broadband- Internet security is provided free

Yes it provides an overhead to the pc's performance but it saves your pc being hacked

i used so called great AV's following such reviews in the past but yet my pc will get slowed and still effects of viruses/spyware is very obvious ... MSE + Proper Windows Updates (this is what many at so called review centre forget to consider) is really good... never did virus/spyware caused issues to my laptop...

coming to the result tests...many are paid or sponsored (secretly) and i dont rely on the reviews...I am not a fanboy of MS and MSE is the only free MS product i ever felt lot better than even other pricey crap products of MS.

order canceled!! oh well

Order cancelled here too! Order Wednesday and take 5 days to ping an email to say they've sold out. Muppets, won't bother with them again
