Cue lots of cold voters who will slate it despite having never tried it.
NAV 2009 is actually very good and nothing like the bloated resource hog it has been for the last few versions. It's been re-written using a lot of code from the excellent Symantec corporate AV software.

Whether you like the product or not this is a good price for it. this is what you should base your votes on.

I voted on Avast being, better and cheaper (Free).. end of

norton 2009 is the best program i have tried, out of zone alarm, kaspersky, and avg, would have tried norton if i didnt like it, kaspersky it by far the worst i have tried after reading many good reviews, norton 09 is an excellent product, and the uses the least amount of resources and rarely bothers you

also if u check on more specialist forums norton 09 has been topping most polls, and rightly so, well ive only looked at one poll but still

So its the best program out is it? No its not its turd and the £16.99 they want for it they would have to pay me for putting it on to my machine after reading many good reviews Norton 09 is an excellent product, and the uses the least amount of resources and rarely bothers you this product is for them that have no clue about computers and buy there computers from PCworld and on the way out the door pic up this because the ********s that work there tell them the same rubbish you've come out with.

I tried Norton years ago and customers computers often come with the crap preinstalled and the first thing i do is remove it Norton is a massive burden on system resources poking its nose into everything you do its worse than the stuff it protects you from. This pearl of wisdom is the best you've come up with kaspersky it by far the worst i hate to tell you but those that know anything about computers rate Kaspersky as the best there is i personally use Nod32 as i have for years and have never had a virus my Nodistallation is no more than 50mb installed Norton is over 500mb so if Nod can protect me with such a small program why cant Norton and Symantec business AV is very good.

Unless it's the same product you've found cheaper it shouldn't have been a cold vote.

A Pioneer TV is better than a Bush one but you wouldn't vote it cold beacuse the Bush one is cheaper.

You tried it years ago but not the 2009 version. NAV 2009 is VERY different to the older versions.

It was re-written using SAV corp code

i agree norton years ago was shocking, terrible prodcut, 2006, 2007 and even an improved 2008 were still all bad, but please dont comment on a product you have not even used, 2009 is very good and has been coming very near the top in a lot of virus tests

i have heard good things about nod32, might use it when the next batch of anti virus systems come out depending on norton 2010 and the rest
