Can only imagine the cost of the labour in the last four years of the cover, good chance of it breaking, I have a Hotpoint btw, 5 years parts AND labour though.

Just bought a Hotpoint ,knew about the 5 year parts warranty before I bought it .Not worth the paper its written on . You have to use a Hotpoint Technician -Call out fee (before Labour ) £106 ! Doesnt mean washer is a bad deal , ,just buy extended warranty if you want peace of mind ,5 year parts warranty waste of paper .

Thanks verysleepy.
It's a good price and peeps will get what they pay for, but we've got the 1600 version of this and we've had it repaired five times in the two years we've had it.
Of course it could be because ours is a 1600; one of the engineers told us to avoid anything over 1400 as they have to do more work and parts tend to wear out quicker.

Hotpoints aren't what they used to be, not even British any more.
Couldn't recommend them these days, but for a 1200 at £200, well, there's a heck of a lot worse out there, and for that reason I've given this deal some heat.

Would not recommend Indesit-built washing machines. The drums are sealed, so if the bearings fail it's new drum time.

For all the flak they get, Beko machines are better than these for that reason alone -- and before anyone starts, Indesit are no better than Beko reliability-wise either.
