£5 cheaper then usual price but £5 is better in your pocket than theirs. Great piece of kit for £30 which is cheapest price around (£35 at argos)

Use Tesco Clubcard Boost to make it the equivalent of only £15

EDIT

If buying from Amazon, you will also receive a £5 Instant Video credit.

5 pounds off is a good deal in anyone's books

Will end up in landfill as will be worth less than £5 in a years time!

Already off my list, 'cos you can't use a wireless keyboard with it!:(

More than likely your internet provider is blocking the streams.
Sky are quite good at blocking and so are Virgin if you have either of there virus / parental settings switched on.
I can play 98% of the films no problems.

You could use a VPN service to get round this blocking content for about $4 pm

Amazing device if you know what to really do with it properly.

What VPN service do you recommend and is it easy to setup?

Isn't Amazon a bit of a toxic brand at the moment?

Something to do with the way they treat their people.

JUst use the android FireTV App on any android phone or tablet.....it'll give you a keyboard and 2nd remote.

play.google.com/sto…_GB

There's no mouse pad on the fire tv app. Only keyboard.

Got back when it can out. Installed kodi and I have more than had my money's worth. I have sky broadband and there are a few add ons that won't work but I find genesis and cartoon HD do 95% of the time

Try TVMC (customised version of Kodi) it'll install all the popular addons for you and keep them updated automatically.

How do you add a vpn service to the fire stick?

brilliant device. almost rendered my Chromecast redundant! well worth it for kodi alone

You can't vpn on a fire stick, however, to access American Netflix or watch iplayer if you're abroad etc, you need to hide your dns. Very simple to do on a fire tv stick, and it works in Croatia as I've just been using it myself on holiday.

You can't add it straight to the stick without it being rooted... you can however set up a VPN on a secondary router that you then use as a feeder point for any devices you want to access the web via the VPN. I've just done this and it works pretty well... just trying to find a nice fast IPVanish server now... any pointers anyone?

Good tutorial about the routers here...

you can use the app. turning your phone into a wireless keyboard...

This has been a godsend for me I have sky and digital in bad weather I have no signal. With the TV app on this I now have TV in all weathers through broadband. Worth it for anyone with poor reception or for a TV without external Ariel connection ie bedroom.

Also if you have one or can get one cheap, bluetooth keyboards will also work with the Firestick.
I'm using the HP Touchpad keyboard which pairs easily and works fine, though i mainly use the android app as it's so convenient.

Can someone point me in the direction of installing cartoon hd on this?

Try popcorn time then. I've not used kodi/xbmc since discovering it. Just use a version that turns off seeding.

Recently loaded Kodi onto one of these. Any recommendations on what the best add-ons and streams currently are?
