They're much the same speed, the i5 750 is marginally faster for gaming and file compression while the phenom 965 is marginally faster for 3d rendering.

However, unless you particularly need to go for an AMD platform the i5-750 is a clear winner because the processor consumes half the power of the 965 under load and ~20W less when idling: xbitlabs.com/art…tml

Doesn't say what other components are but a quick search of ebuyer throws up these for £265 which leaves you £95 to spend on a PSU & Case of your choice.

But then you have to put it together. The whole point of these barebones units is that Novatech have done the tricky bits so you only have to add your hard/optical drives.
