Bought one, hope it's worth the money. An HDMI connection would have been nice but you can't have everything!

I bought one for £550 a month or so ago and I'm well happy with it, it's actually branded ATEC, picture is good, although I'm not on HD yet. The PC looks great through the VGA or even better through DVI, really can't go wrong for that money.

There is a link to alternative models on that page. This Hyundai looks interesting:

Same size, same refresh speed, but has detachable speakers, and supports HDMI with HDCP, plus it has two year's on site warranty.

Can anyone comment on Hyundai HDTVs?

When you say LG/Phillips do you mean it's a rebranded LG or Phillips model, and which one - LG or Phillips? Sorry if that's a dumb question!

LG/Philips panel ;-)

As CP30 says, the model is ATEC (thanks CP30  )

All reviews on NOVATECH site rate this TV with 5***** which is encouraging.

The other model linked to is £586.33 inc. VAT so not really comparable. And I don't think it looks that nice, but if you do like the look then pay the extra £14 and get the next model up which includes a freeview tuner novatech.co.uk/nov…1HD

Ah yeah, didn't see that. Isn't it uber-confusing when these web sites quote ex VAT prices? Only an exceptional few are going to not be paying VAT, so why don't all web sites just quote inc VAT?

I think this tv seems perfect in terms of price, looks, and spec.. just a big shame it doesnt have a hdmi port.

yeah that is a slight pain but it had the high definition dvi socket (HDCP) but will definitely work with Sky+HD as there was a problem with them months ago and they manufacturer recalled them all and fixed the problems and now state that they are SKY+HD approved. Just abit more info for you read the novatech forums or reviews for more info

The set itself is absolutely astounding picture quality and colours for me i think it better pic quality than many other "branded" lcd's i have seen, at that price too with spec it has i would def recommend it.
